I have being eyeing of this Denim "Lurlene" Jump-skirt from Louella Deville Boutique (Your one stop pinup shop) for a while now and finally got around to purchasing it a couple of months ago!
The owner of Louella Deville Boutique Bek Morris has recently started up her own brand, it is called Louella Deville. There is a wonderful range of pinup and vintage inspired clothing and accessories, available to order through her online webstore. Bek also sells other well name brands such a Lindybop, Lady V London and Hell Bunny, amongst other names.
The Louella Deville "Lurlene" Jump-skirt is made of a good quality denim material. It has two deep 40's style side pockets, a back zipper and adjustable straps that can be worn straight or cross-over on the back. Personally I prefer the straps crossed over, it just feel's more comfortable to wear this way.
I also love the option of the straps being removable and able to flip the bib inside and just wear it as a skirt if you wish!
Other great features in the heart shape bib and the circle skirt, so you can wear your favorite petticoat underneath, for extra flare! I found this jump-skirt very comfortable to wear and true to size.
The "Lurlene" is listed at $99.00 (Aus) to purchase plus shipping costs and comes in sizes 6-22.
The turquoise hoop earrings, milkshake brooch and bangles I'm wearing are also from Bek's own brand Louella Deville. The Twiggy hoop earrings are very comfortable and light to wear and there are many other colours to choose from. The hoops measure around 30mm and have surgical steel findings, so are great for sensitive ears. These earrings are available to purchase for $14.00 (Aus) a pair.
The strawberry milkshake brooch is so cute, it is made from acrylic materials and it measures around 8x4cm and is available to purchase for $12.00 (Aus).
The blue "Lucy Marbled curved bangle" is made from a fakelite material, the diameter is 6.5cm and 2.2cm thick. These bangles come in other colours and you can purchase these for $14.00 each.
The pink "Lyla milky bangles" are also made from a fakelite material, the diameter is 6.8cm and 1.3cm thick. They also come in other colours and are available to purchase for $9.00 each.
Under my denim jump-skirt I'm wearing my new multi-colour seersucker blouse from Freddies of Pinewood
I love the 1940's style work blouse and the colours, it's made of a light cotton material. It has cute little vintage style buttons down the front. This blouse is available to purchase for £35 and comes in sizes 8-16.
Accessories Include:

Vintage handbag is from a facebook buy/swap/sell group
Petticoat is from Louella Deville Boutique
Blue hair-scarf from an ebay seller
In other news I'm going to be really busy over the next couple of months, as I'm on the committee for the "Rockin Maryborough Vintage Festival" and I've just been asked to be the pinup coordinator for the senior and junior pinup pageants! Another lady that was doing it, had to pull out unfortunately! I'm somewhat anxious about it, as there is not much time to prepare plus I've never actually done anything like this before. Hopefully I can get everything achieved it time. Wish me luck!!
Until next time!

Very nice indeed - that's one of those wardrobe 'staples' that will literally go with everything. It would work for dress-down days with a breton stripe and ballet flats, or you could dress it up with little heels and a cute puff sleeve blouse. A good buy! x
ReplyDeleteThis is an adorable outfit! I've been eyeing that Freddie's shirt since it came out; I need to order it already! When I order it, I'm also going to order a pair of jeans to wear it with...I haven't bought jeans in a few years now, so that'll be odd at first! The brooch you paired with the outfit is too cute.
