As soon as I saw this awesome dress on the Miss Bamboo website I knew I had to own, wear and review this gorgeous dress!
It's called 1940's/50's Lucille dress in golden floral stems. I actually had the opportunity to wear this dress to the Very Vintage Day Out festival a few weeks ago in Auckland, New Zealand and received many wonderful compliments on it.
I love the yellow fabric with the little floral stems and black detailing on this dress. It also has black buttons down the front, a matching black belt buckle and loop detailing on the two front pockets and up near the collar. It also comes with a matching fabric belt. This dress is made from 100% cotton, that I find really comfortable to wear on a hot summer's day.
Sizes range from 8 up to 18, with a lot of sizes now sold out on Miss Bamboo's website. Although there are two other fabric colours to choose from, there is a green 50's fleck colour and a grey 50's fleck with red detailing. The retail price is £82 ($144 Aus) plus postage. It's such a really cute, though yet a stylish dress to own and wear!
Accessories Include:
Black cowboy boot from an ebay seller.
Bangles from Los Flamingo
Hair-scarf and yellow earrings from various boutiques.
These blog photos were taken at the most wonderful gardens in New Zealand called Hamilton Gardens I had been wanting to visit these gardens for a couple of years, after seeing the gardens on social media and other vintage fashion blogs. I'm so happy that I had the opportunity to do so after my recent little trip over to New Zealand. These gardens are world class, with many different styles of gardens to look at and admire. For example Japanese, English, Italian and Indian just to name a few.
In other news I've just been working really. I haven't been up to too much lately, last Saturday I went for a drive and caught up with a follow pinup/vintage friend, we both checked out a new vintage inspired dress boutique and had lunch together. This weekend I plan to do a little bit of housework, I have to vote tomorrow in the local state government election and hopefully take blog photos.
Until next time!

Yellow is such a cheery colour for a dress, but one not seen as often as others. I don't know why. Anyway, this is a great colour on you! Hope you are having a lovely weekend x
