Hi all!
This week I'm going to review these two beautiful dresses by UK vintage inspired company The house of foxy
This company makes high-quality vintage inspired garments from the 1920's up to the 1950's. All garments are made in either Britain or Europe. On the website you can purchase dresses, tops/blouses, skirts, trousers, knitwear, jackets, jumpsuits, accessories and more.
I have been admiring all the pretties from The House of Foxy for about a couple of years. I absolutely admire their dresses, clothing etc but the prices are a little bit over my price range. The two dresses I currently own we're on "sale" at different times, because of this reason I was able to purchase myself a couple of dresses, which are the ones I'm reviewing this week on my blog.
The first dress by The House of Foxy I'm reviewing is the 1940's Gracie Wrap Dress - Poppy Spray.
The fabric is made of a 100% viscose. I just love the colours of the poppies, on the black background. I'm wearing a size 16 and it's so comfortable to wear throughout the day. The only thing is that it is a bit big around my bust-line, I decided to pin a brooch on the shirt of the dress, so there's no "gaping" around the bust area.
This dress comes with a matching fabric belt and has a side zip to get in and out of. I really love how this dress looks so authentic to the 1940's era, with the wrap style, the length and with the shirt collar.
There are still some sizes left to order and purchase yourself in this exact same dress.
Accessories Include:
Hat from a local theft store
Earrings from Colette Hayman
Bangles by Splendette
Heels by Bait Footwear
The second dress by The house of foxy I'm reviewing this week is this stunning 1940's Hayworth evening dress - orient print.
The fabric is made of 100% rayon. I really adore the orient floral print and the sarong style of this dress. There's a side zip to get in and out of and it comes with a matching fabric belt. I ended up purchasing a size 16 and it fits like a glove on me.
This dress has a sweetheart neckline and a waterfall sarong skirt that creates, flattering rauching around the tummy area.
Unfortunately for you this exact print is now sold out on The House of foxy website but there are still many other prints and sizes to choose from in this 1940's dress style.
Accessories Include:
Hair-piece from Shazam Pinup Hairflowers
Earrings from Colette Hayman
Bangles by Splendette
Handbag is vintage from a facebook buy/sell/swap group
Shoes by Bait Footwear
These photos were taken by my husband-to-be inside my Mum's home and outside an old building in Maryborough, Queensland.
Next week I'll be featuring two beautiful dresses by UK vintage inspired company The Pretty Dress Company
Until next time!
