Tiki pinup vs Kitchen pinup

One of my favorite pinup styles is the tiki/Hawaiian look, I own quite a number of dresses/skirts in this style, that also includes fabric patterns of palm trees, hibiscus flowers, flamingos, orchid's etc.

This summery tiki style wrap/wiggle dress is by the brand Miss Fortune UK   http://www.missfortune.co.uk/
I love the fabric print with the white palm trees on the brownish background, the halter and the wrap style.
I decided to accessorize this gorgeous dress with my bamboo bangles, an orchid hair-flower, a pair of leopard print sunglasses and wedges from Williams Australia  https://www.williamsshoes.com.au

I took this photos for my blog outside in the nice sunshine in my Mum's beautiful garden.

Today I walked the catwalk for Noni B (ladies fashion chain store) in "fashions on the field". I modeled four different outfits, it was a lot of fun and really great to build up my confidence for any future fashion shows/pinup pageants!
Another favorite pinup style of mine is the floral/cute "look".  This cute little floral dress is by the UK reproduction brand Voodoo Vixen http://www.voodoovixen.co.uk/

I adore the style, the floral design on the light blue background and the gathered bust line. This dress is so great to wear in the summer/hotter months as well.
I decided to accessorize this lovely dress with some fashion jewelry, a pink hair-flower and a pink pair of faux cat-eye glasses that I bought from an ebay seller and my white peep-toe sandals from Target Australia.
I took these photos for my blog in my pink kitchen that I'm installing in my little granny style flat.
This weekend (Saturday) I'm going to watch a pinup pageant for a couple of hours which is actually happening locally, and is in aid of Breast Cancer awareness, so all the gorgeous pinup's have to include pink into their outfits, it should be a lot of fun to watch, encourage and say hi to friends! Unfortunately I couldn't enter, as I have to work that same day and really can't get out of it!

Until next time!

  3. I love both of these dresses on you! So cute and I love the accessories you've paired with them, especially the leopard glasses with the tiki! That is excellent to hear about you walking the cat walk for the local shop! So much fun!
