Kitty Carousel!

I recently received a discount coupon code to use at the UK vintage inspired clothing company Vivien of Holloway
I end up choosing the Kitty Day Carousel Pink Dress I just adore these style dress from Vivien of Holloway because they look like true 1950's vintage dresses.  This is actually my second Kitty Day dress I also own the Pink Gingham/Floral dress as well.
Personally I find these dresses are very comfortable, yet stylish to wear and I also like the longer length for my taller height.   These dresses are great to wear on cooler days, but because of the longer length they're not so great to wear on really hot and humid days, especially here where I live in Queensland, Australia.
The material on this dress is made out of a crisp sturdy cotton. This dress features two large front pockets, has a discreet side zip and also a full gathered skirt. Other features to this dress is the vintage buttons down the front top half and has sewn in shoulder pads, my other Kitty Day dress I actually removed the pads myself, as I didn't like them.  I've decided so far to keep the shoulder pads for this dress to see if they grow on me!
The Kitty Day dresses are quite generous with their sizing, just follow the size guide on the Vivien of Holloway website for each dress style.  Another note with the Kitty Day dresses adding a belt, seems to add structure and nips in the waistline. I added my own white belt from my box full of different style belts.
Accessories Include:
Pink Flamingo handbag by Banned Apparel purchased through Poison Kandy Klothing
Flats are from Payless Australia
Paige the Prancing Poodle brooch by Erstwilder which was thrifted
Single pink gerbera hair-flower from Daisy Jean Floral Designs
Fashion sunglasses from Colette by Colette Hayman
These blog photos were taken a couple of weeks ago at a place called Old Petrie Town (North side of Brisbane, Queensland). My cousin kindly was my blog photographer!
Old Petire Town is a restored historical village which is set on 50 acres of gardens and bush-land. Which includes pre-1930's  stores, churches, homes, an old railway station, fire station, cafes, etc. Also there is a red double decker bus on site which has actually been turned into a cafe and can be hired out for private functions.  My cousin and I actually sat on the top level of the bus to take photos and to also enjoy a drink together and appreciate the view.
Old Petrie Town also holds markets on the weekends and has it's own hotel and function centre for weddings/private functions etc.
Such a great place to visit and explore!
My friend and follow pinup/vintage blogger Vera Gin Vintage came and visited me towards the end of last week, so we spent a whole day together taking blog photos of each other, and visiting a local rockabilly/pinup clothing boutique called Cherry Tree Lane Fashion in Maryborough, Queensland.
I'll be blogging the two dresses I got photos off, over the coming weeks!

I actually hope to visit Miss Vera Gin Vintage next time, when I'm up her way again in a couple of weeks!

Until next time!
