This bright and colorful swing skirt is by the UK brand Banned Apparel and is called Peggy Diner Doll Skirt. I ordered it through Australian pinup/retro company Gwynnies Emporium.
I love all the wonderful colours (I can mix and match many colour tops/blouses with this skirt) and the 1950's retro diner print, waitress and classic cars all around the bottom border of the skirt.
This skirt has hidden lipstick pockets, is pleated and has a hidden zip at the back.
It's made from 97% cotton and 3% elastane.
I wore one of my fluffy petticoats underneath this skirt to give more fullness and swing!
You can purchase this skirt through Gwynnies Emporium for $52.00 (Aus) and comes in sizes XS to 4XL (some sizes have sold out). All though you can purchase this skirt through other online stores such as Unique Vintage
I knew I just had to match this cute retro inspired tee by Australian screen printing company Hard Core Logo with by Banned Apparel skirt!
This tee comes in sizes small to 2XLarge and is $30.00 (Aus)
There are other colours to choose from such as mint and black.
It's such a cool design with the milkshake and retro waitress and the slogan "My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard" on the pink 100% cotton fabric!
Accessories Include
Saddle shoes from Bait Footwear
Pink handbag by Sunjellies ordered through Vintage Pip
Hair-scarf and bangle thrifted
Diner brooch by Erstwilder
Pink earrings from Daisy Jean Floral Designs
Retro belt by Hell Bunny
These photos were taken by a follow "pinup friend" at a local retro inspired cafe/diner called HotShotz which is located at Hervey Bay, Queensland.
After I had finish taking these photos for my blog, I enjoyed a yummy milkshake and a delicious ham and salad roll!
In other news I have been offered a full-time Monday to Friday position at work, as an activity officer at the aged care facility I work at! Which I'm really thrilled about! Only thing is I wont be able to wear my pretties as often (as I wear a uniform to work). Though I do get weekends off now...yay!! As being a personal carer I worked a lot of shift-work, which meant weekends, evenings and early starts.
I'm actually trying to organize a 1950's day for next Friday for the residents I care for to enjoy, I've got a few rock and roll dancers lined up and am trying to hopefully get a few vintage cars as well...which should be a fun day for all!
Until next time!

DeleteSuper cute outfit, I would totally copy every part of your outfit and wear them myself :) I don't wear t-shirts often outside my apartment, but that one is so cute I wish they would sell it in Europe, and the skirt is beautiful as well. It didn't look as good in the product pictures as it does on you and now I wish I hadn't overlooked it... I wish I can still find it somewhere, it's so pretty! x
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, I hope you do find this skirt and purchase it for yourself, as I can see you wearing it! :)
Deletenice outfit, what a cool dinner. I bet some of the people you care for have some awesome 1950s stories.
