Let's go Sailing!

Today's outfit blog post is about this nautical inspired dress by the budget alternative clothing brand Chicstar. In these photos I'm accessorizing this dress with my Erstwilder Betty Jo sparrow brooch and faux pearl necklace from Vivien of Holloway.

This is my first rockabilly/pinup inspired dress I bought for myself, which was around four years ago. I bought this dress to wear to a wedding for something a little different and unique. At the time I didn't think I would end up wearing this type of fashion on a every-day basis. But now this dress is now part of my vintage inspired wardrobe.
I have had this dress taken in about a year ago, because of losing weight and I wanted to still keep and wear this dress.  Saying that I wouldn't say it's my favorite dress in my wardrobe but at the same time it's so unique with the nautical inspired style. I love the navy blue and white together and the white four buttons on the front and the satin type material.
My dress is by the brand Chicstar  http://www.chicstar.com/ which I bought from an ebay seller.
My white cardigan is from Target.
The navy blue shoes are from Rivers  http://www.rivers.com.au/
The sparrow brooch is from an ebay seller.
White pearl necklace is from Vivien of Holloway http://www.vivienofholloway.com/  and my white belt is from another dress I own.
In the above photo is the type of sailing yacht I could see myself on, whilst relaxing and wearing my nautical inspired dress! Let's go Sailing!!

Until next time!

Red and Yellow Roses!

Today's outfit blog post is about this colorful dress by the popular reproduction clothing brand Hell Bunny. For these blog photos I'm accessorizing this dress with a cute cardigan, yellow hair-flower and my new bodice brooch by the brand Glitter Paradise. http://glitterparadise.com/

I've own this Mexican 50's Hell Bunny dress for over a year now and I still love to wear it so much! I adore the bright colors, the Mexican and floral style print. I also love the light cotton fabric, the 50's swing style and the skirt length. I'm not overly fussed about halter-neck dresses though but now and again I don't mind wearing that sort of style.
Now it's getting cooler here in Australia I've started wearing some of my cardigans over my dresses and I decided to wear this cute little cardigan over this dress.
The dress is by Hell Bunny which I bought from Atomic Cherry  http://www.atomiccherry.com.au/
My cardigan is from Target.
My wedges are from Rivers   http://www.rivers.com.au/
The yellow hair-flower is from Cherry Bay Fabulous (find on facebook) and my yellow sunglasses are from a local accessories boutique.
My new bodice brooch is by the brand Glitter Paradise which I bought from Vintage Pip  http://www.vintagepip.com.au/
Red belt is from Cherry Tree Lane Fashion (also find on facebook).
I came across this beautiful photo online of a yellow and red rose and I knew it would go so well with today's blog post.

Until next time!

Cherry Red!

Today's outfit blog post is about these two vintage inspired separate pieces. For this outfit photos my accessories include my red cloche hat I bought from an ebay seller and my Sourpuss cherry print purse.

I adore a cherry print and when I saw this blouse in Kmart I bought it for myself straight away, especially as the blouse looked like a vintage inspired piece! It's so cute with the little black Peter Pan collar and the cherry print of course.
I really love these swing trousers by the vintage reproduction brand Vivien of Holloway. I love the red color, the soft cotton material, the big buttons down the side and the swing style of these pants, they're so comfortable to wear and I can wear these trousers with a variety of blouses, tops and knitwear. Only downside was when I got this trousers in the post and tried them on I didn't like the length, personally I thought that were just a little too long for my taste, so my Mum kindly hemmed them up for me.
Now it's getting colder here in Australia, I shall be wearing these trousers for sure.
My cherry print blouse is from Kmart.
My red swing trousers are from Vivien of Holloway    http://www.vivienofholloway.com/
My cherry handbag is by Sourpuss Clothing and I got it from Cherry Tree Lane Fashion (find on facebook)
The red creeper shoes are from T.U.K. Shoes  http://www.tukshoes.com/
The red retro belt is from Ruff n Ready  http://www.ruffnready.com.au/
Red Cloche hat is from an ebay seller.
In the above photo I got my first tattoo over a year ago now of two cherries tied with a blue ribbon. Which is on one side of my upper chest area. To this day I still love it and have no regrets! I hope to get my third tattoo done this year sometime. Which will probably be a flamingo or a hibiscus flower or both!

Until next time!
