I have another big weekend planned! This weekend on Saturday I'll be attending a festival called Decades. Which showcases vehicles, music and fashions from the 1950's through to the 1990's. I'm actually in the fashion parade, so for the last couple of days I've been planning my outfit to wear. I'm really looking forward to going, as I've never been before!
Then on Sunday I'll be going to a pinup picnic by the sea down at the Gold Coast, which includes pinups, rockabilly guys and dolls, meeting in a park and having a picnic together. There will also be photographers and lucky door prizes up for grabs! I'm planning on taking my new picnic basket, a blanket and a parasol/umbrella on the day.
In these photos I'm wearing my Collectif UK white Gypsy blouse, my Banned Apparel flamingo skirt, pink peep-toe wedges by Williams Australia and a pink flamingo hair tie from an ebay seller.
On Saturday for a few hours I went to watch a pinup pageant in aid of Breast Cancer Awareness. Some of my friends were in the pageant. I also wanted to enter but I had to go to work that day!
Anyway all of the ladies had to entail the colour pink into their gorgeous outfits. I loved seeing everyone dressed in pink, as it is one of my favorite colours.
As well as the gorgeous pinups, their was also quite a number of gorgeous looking vintage cars and hot rods their too.
Off course I had to get a photo or two with some of these wonderful cars. Apparently quite an substantial amount of money was raised on the day to go towards the breast cancer foundation, which was great to hear!
All the ladies were amazing with their little routines, there end up being a 3rd runner up, runner up and of course a winner. But everyone was a winner in my eyes, as it was for a very good cause!
I wore my new Nadine posy floral dress from Collectif UK https://www.collectif.co.uk/
a pair of white shoes from Target Australia, pink hair-flower and cat-eye glasses from an ebay seller, vintage beads and my pink/yellow umbrella from a pre-loved clothing boutique.
All in all it was a lovely morning catching up with friends, meeting new ladies, looking around at all the cars and especially watching the girls up on the stage!
Until next time!

Mount Tamborine and Garterbelts!
Over the weekend, Mum and I stayed at Mount Tamborine (hinterland of the Gold Coast, Queensland) for a couple of nights, we stayed in a lovely Bed and Breakfast house. As I wanted to attend the annual Garterbelts and Gasoline Nostalgia Festival, and I wanted Mum to come with me for the trip.
Mum and I drove the four hour drive to Mount Tamborine on Saturday, we arrived there around 3:00pm. After checking in and settling in our room, we both got dolled up and headed out for the evening.
First we both had dinner in a really lovely Italian Restaurant, then we attended the Miss Garterbelts and Gasoline pinup competition, which was a lot of fun watching the top 10 pinup ladies, performing their wonderful routines and watching whom placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd. After the pinup competition we watched and listen to some of the rockabilly bands and the dancing, before heading back to the B&B house for a night's sleep.
I wore my new dress from Retrosec'd Australia, which I found on ebay for a great price a few weeks ago. I decided to accessorize with my faux pearls, a red hair-flower and my Lucky-Lou red shoes which you can't see in the above photo, sorry about that!
The next day started with getting ready, then Mum and I having a beautiful continental breakfast together at the B&B. We then headed off to the Garterbelts and Gasoline festival.
Which included hot rods, vintage cars and carvans, bands and dancing, food/drinks and of course the rockabilly and vintage clothing and accessories markets, which I bought quite a number of goodies from, especially the most gorgeous dress. Which I hope to blogged about in the near future.
I wore my new Loretta dress in Atomic print by Bernie Dexter to the festival. I accessorize this cute dress with my white sandals from Novo Australia, red cat-eye sunglasses (which I bought from a market store), vintage necklace and my new hair-flower which I received in my box of prizes from winning the title of Miss Congeniality at the Miss Rockin Pinup pageant a couple of weeks ago.
We left the festival around 1:00pm and drove around Mount Tamborine and came across this street full of lovely little boutiques full of vintage wares, clothing, household goods, accessories and antiques. We both had a look around at the shops, then had coffee together.
By the time we got back to the B&B house around 5:00pm, it was a big but fun day. That night we both just vegged out, watch some t.v., ate junk food and had a few wines.
Monday morning after enjoying another lovely breakfast, packing up our gear and checking out. Mum wanted to go back to this Antique homewares boutique to buy some homewares for her home. Then we were on the road and both homeward bound!
Until next time!

Rockin Vintage Festival!
For Day One of the Rockin Maryborough Vintage Festival I decided to wear my new dress, that I bought from a facebook buy, sell and swap group. This beautiful dress is by Pinup Girl Clothing which is called Pele dress in black and pink Hawaiian floral print, this dress also has a matching bolero, which I ended up taking off, towards the end of the day.
I decided to accessorize this dress with a pair of flamingo sandals from Miss L Fire, UK, a vintage wicker purse, a new pair of retro sunglasses that I received in my box of goodies from winning the title of Miss Congeniality and my pink hibiscus hair-flower from Soda Sweethearts https://www.etsy.com/au/shop/SodaSweethearts
This day included having a lot of photos taken, checking out the hot rods and vintage cars and caravans, selling raffle tickets to the crowds of people, having lunch, entering and watching a tattoo competition, meeting new people and having fun and laughs with my fellow pinup friends.
Day one ended up being a really busy but great day, it was so wonderful to see so many people out and about and checking out the vintage festival.
For the second and final day of the vintage festival I decided to wear my Mary Blair umbrella print dress by Pinup Girl Clothing. I accessorized this amazing dress with my vintage style heels that I bought from a pre-loved clothing boutique, a petticoat by Hell Bunny, my pink Sun Jellies bag, white retro sunglasses, vintage beads and my parasol that I bought from Cherry Bay Fabulous (find on facebook).
The second day included watching a pouch parade, going on a horse and carriage ride, which was a lot fun, having high tea with the pinup ladies, having more photos taken and selling more raffle tickets.
All in all the weekend ended up being a wonderful and successful weekend, bring on next year's festival!!
I loved meeting and making new friends, whom have similar style to myself, supporting and promoting Maryborough and getting all dolled up in the pinup style that I love so much!
Next week I'll blogged about the Garterbelts and Gasoline festival, which I'll be attending for the very first time this weekend!
Until next time!

What a Great Night!

Friday was a busy though exciting day of getting ready for my first ever Pinup Pageant. Which included having my finger nails, hair and make-up professionally done. As well as getting dressed and having a run-through of where/how to parade down the red carpet for the pageant and meeting the rest of the beautiful finalist ladies in the Miss Rockin Maryborough pinup pageant.
My pageant dress I choose to wear was this amazing Bernie Dexter orange print dress and a black petticoat underneath. I accessorized this dress with a pair of black shoes from a pre-loved clothing and accessories boutique, an oranges necklace from Your One Stop Pinup Shop and a hair-flower from a store I bought at Greazefest a few weeks ago.
Here I am on the red carpet I was quite disappointed in myself though, as my nerves did get the better of me and I was shaking quite a bit, this was however my first time, and I am quite an introverted person. I do feel though the more I enter pinup pageants the less nervous I will become, when walking/parading down a catwalk or on the stage in front of people.
After the pageant had finished we all had our photos taken, this was one of these photos with a gorgeous pink poodle by the name of Coco Channel. Coco and her owners came up from the Gold Coast (about four hour drive away) to attend the Pageant and the weekend festivities for the Rockin Maryborough Vintage Festival.
After the pageant most of us, changed out of our pinup outfits and into how Rock and Roll ball gowns. To attend the Rock and Roll ball and find out who won the title of Miss Rockin Maryborough 2015.
My frock, shoes and bangle I choose to wear for the night I bought from a pre-loved clothing boutique on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland.
After some dancing, mingling and having some fun, the top ten finalist were called up onto the stage to find out who won a title in the first ever Pinup Pageant for Maryborough.
First was the title of Miss Congeniality which was *drum roll* me Miss Cherry Milla!! I couldn't believe it, that I had actually won a title, I was so happy and thrilled with this. I won a tiara, a sash, a lovely bunch of flowers and a box full of little goodies.
Next it was the title of Miss Adored which went to Miss Ivory Rose, she won this title because she had the most facebook likes on the Miss Rockin Maryborough facebook page.
Then came Runner up which went to Miss Christabelle, this lovely lady was ever so thrilled and happy with her title.
Next was the prestige title of Miss Rockin Maryborough which went to Miss Sapphire Siren. A beautiful young lady, whom has entered quite a number of well known pinup pageants in the past, so she was a well-deserving winner!
Myself aka Miss Contingently with Miss Rockin Maryborough aka Miss Sapphire Siren.
All of the ladies who made it into the top ten, are all such beautiful, amazing, gorgeous ladies. Which I can now call my friends and look forward to catching up with all from time to time in the near future!
My next blog post will be Day 1 and Day 2 (final day) of the vintage festival.
Until next time!

Pretty Pink Flowers!
I'm looking forward to going to my first "official" rockabilly/pinup festival next month in August which is called Greazefest! I've been wanting to go for a couple of years now but because of work commitments and living a few hours away, I haven't been able to go. But I'm planning on going this year... I'm really looking forward to it! There will be Hot rods, rockabilly bands, pinup fashions and store holders. It runs for a whole weekend, so I really would love to go both Saturday and Sunday to it. I hope to meet some ladies I follow on instagram...that would be so awesome!
Today's outfit blog post is about this pretty little vintage inspired dress by the company Dangerfield from their Revival collection. I have blogged this dress before here is the link http://cherrymilla82.blogspot.com.au/2015/04/vintage-inspired.html I just love this dress, it personally remains me of a true vintage dress.
I love the pastel green colour, the embroidered flowers, how it's lined in the skirt area and the plunge back line. This dress is a great little summer dress but I wore my pink cardigan, as it was a little cool when I took this blog photos.
I decided to accessorize this dress with my peacock brooch, my green retro sunglasses, my pink cardigan and my green hair-flower.
Dress is by the brand Dangerfield by the Revival collection http://shop.dangerfield.com.au/girls/
White peep-toe sandals are from Target.
Pink cardigan is from Kmart.
Peacock brooch is from a vintage market fair.
Green hair-flower is from a local accessories boutique.
Retro sunglasses are from a pre-loved clothing boutique.
I thought these fabric pink flowers would go so well with today's dress and outfit blog post!
Until next time!
