Retro Western!

This is my second retro style T-shirt I have from Atomic Swag Apparel  I just love these tee's so much because of their wonderful prints for example country/western and tropical/Hawaiian. Plus they are  very comfortable to wear and fit really well!
Atomic Swag Apparel are based in California, America and sell ladies, men's and kids retro 1950's inspired t-shirts.
My tee I'm wearing and reviewing here is called square dancers, this design is inspired by three amazing 1950's t.v. shows called The Old American Barn Dance, the Grand Old Opry and Tex Rittler's Ranch Party.
It's made from 100% pre-shrunk cotton, which is great for sensitive skin and is breathable to wear. Comes in sizes extra small to 2X Large.  Also the prints are made using water based ink's so they will always feel soft, never chip, fade or peel away, as stated on the company's website. This tee is currently listed on their website to purchase for $34.34 (Aus) or $25.94 (US).
These 1940's swing trousers are from Vivien of Holloway  I love the caramel colour, which looks great with many different tops, knitwear and blouses.  The trousers are made from a soft fabric so are very comfortable to wear.  The fabric is 80% polyester, 15% viscose and 15% elastane.  There are four stylish buttons down the side, to get in and out off and are high-waisted.  They also have a small pocket on the front.
Actually these trousers have just been re-released to order through Vivien of Holloway and are currently listed for 55 £ or around $95 (Aus). They come in sizes waist: 24 inches and hips: 36 inches up to waist: 38 inches and hips: 50 inches.
Accessories Include:
Boots from Target Australia
Handbag thrifted
Sunglasses from Your one stop pinup shop
Earrings from Colette by Colette Hayman
Bangle thrifted
Brooch by Erstwilder ordered through Vintage Pip
These photos were taken by myself with my tripod and my new canon camera in a local park-lands that have a "very country" inspired look to them as I knew it would be a great backdrop for my outfit and for these blog photos.
In other news I'm back now at work from having a couple of weeks off on leave!

Also I'm on the count down for attending the second annual Rockin Maryborough Festival, which is less than three weeks to go.  This festival will go for the whole weekend in the town I live in.  There will be vintage cars, markets, rock and roll dancing, rockabilly bands, a vintage ball and a pinup pageant. I won the title of Miss Congeniality last year, so I'm not entering this year but I'm looking forward to watching all the other beautiful pinups and having a wonderful weekend!

Until next time!

Family Time at the Bay!

I hope everyone enjoyed Christmas with your family/loved ones!  I certainly did, I had a lovely three days off, enjoying the Christmas weekend with my family.
We ate, opened up all our gifts, relaxed, kept busy with the children, played a board game and ate some more!
On Sunday morning we all drove down to a beach-side town called Hervey Bay.  Where we looked and walked around the local botanical gardens, then had an icecream by the beach-side and the kids played on the playground.
I also bought my camera to take some family snaps and some photos of myself.  In these photos I'm wearing my new 50's Santa Rosa tee from a brand called Atomic Swag  http://www.atomicswag.com/  which was ordered through Your One Stop Pinup Shop and was given to me on Christmas day from my sister.
I've been eyeing of these retro tee's for a while now, which I've been seeing on instagram. There are quite a number of different prints. I think they look so cute yet have that retro style to them.
I decided to wear a pair of yellow shorts with this tee for a comfortable/casual look.  I accessorized with a pair of flats from Payless Shoes  http://www.paylessshoes.com.au/   a retro yellow hair-scarf from a vintage market stall and my 50's cat-eye faux glasses from an ebay seller.
The next event/celebration to look forward to is New Years eve, I'm going to a 1920's Gatsby theme party at a local sporting club with a follow pinup friend and vintage blogger,  I'm really looking forward to the evening! I have my outfit planned,  it's just my hair I'm not quite sure what to do with, as 1920's style is quite new to me, but hopefully I'll come up with something!

Anyway hopefully I get some good photos to show you all on my next blog post!

Until next time!
