Summertime!

Here is part 2 of this gorgeous play-suit/romper I had especially custom made.  I decided to take off the detachable skirt for these photos.
I wanted to take picnic style photos in this awesome outfit, my pinup friend and follow blogger Miss Vera Gin Vintage this is the link to her blog: https://veraginvintage.wordpress.com/ took these photos of me and she also set her camera on timer so she could jump in and take a couple of photos with me - it was such a fun afternoon!
I just adore this vintage style picnic basket, it's so cute, it;s lined with a sunflower fabric print and comes with yellow plastic cups, plates and cutlery.
I hope to wear this play-suit/romper a few times this summer and more summer's to come!
My flamingo sandals that are from Miss L Fire UK and my Daisy Jean Floral hair-flower http://daisyjeanfloraldesigns.com/  goes so well with this outfit!
My friend and I hope to take some more blog photos of each other again, in the near future!

It's currently summer here in Queensland, Australia, which means hot and humid weather. This also means wearing summer dresses/skirts, light fitting tops/blouses and of course shorts.
In this photos I'm actually wearing a pair of shorts over the Bettie swimsuit by Pinup Couture. I've never actually blogged about this swimsuit before, even though I've owned this gorgeous swimsuit for over a year now!
I love the style of this swimsuit with the halter neck straps, the gathered bodice, the skirt bottom (which you can't see in these photos) and of course the cherry print.
The red shorts I'm wearing are by the discontinued brand Bettie Page, that I recently bought of ebay. Unfortunately I think these are a size to small, lucky though they are made of a very stretchy fabric so I'm still able to fit into and wear!
I decided to accessorize with my red retro cat-eye sunglasses, cherry necklace from Sourpuss Clothing and a pair of cherry print Mary-Jane shoes by the brand Hot Chocolate which I purchased from Beserk   http://www.beserk.com.au
This weekend it's my work Christmas party, which I'm planning on attending so I hope to take some photos of myself wearing the outfit for the party for my blog.

Until next time!

Feeling Tropical!

On Sunday afternoon myself and a friend whom also is a vintage fashion blogger meet up for a couple of hours and took photos of each other for both our blogs!  This in the link to Miss Vera Gin Vintage blog    https://veraginvintage.wordpress.com/
Do feel free to have a look she has a great blog!
We both had such a great time and ended up getting some really awesome photos in many different background settings.
Here is the first round of the photos my friend took of me!
I have totally fallen in love with the play-suit/romper and matching skirt that I recently had especially custom made.  I knew I just had to blog about this outfit as soon as possible!
I just adore the Hawaiian/tropical style fabric print, the pink hibiscus flowers and the green plants, the light cool cotton material, the style and the design...love, love, love this!! So great for summer.
I decided to accessorize this gorgeous outfit with my flamingo sandals from Miss L Fire UK http://shop.misslfire.co.uk/
bamboo bangles and a pink wooden bangle I bought from local markets and my new double rose hair-flower from Daisy Jean Floral Designs  http://daisyjeanfloraldesigns.com/
I borrowed my friends parasol for some of these photos and my bag in the top photo I bought recently at a local market store for only $1.00.
I'm slowly starting my Christmas shopping, so far I've bought a couple of little items online, I have so much to do though!  But I'll get there by Christmas I hope.
I'm actually expecting a number of packages in the post over the coming weeks before Christmas both for myself and family, I'm very excited about that.  Especially a few dresses that are coming my way...Yay!!  So expect upcoming blog posts on these!

Until next time!

Rockin Vintage Festival!

For Day One of the Rockin Maryborough Vintage Festival I decided to wear my new dress, that I bought from a facebook buy, sell and swap group. This beautiful dress is by Pinup Girl Clothing which is called Pele dress in black and pink Hawaiian floral print, this dress also has a matching bolero, which I ended up taking off, towards the end of the day.
I decided to accessorize this dress with a pair of flamingo sandals from Miss L Fire, UK, a vintage wicker purse, a new pair of retro sunglasses that I received in my box of goodies from winning the title of Miss Congeniality and my pink hibiscus hair-flower from Soda Sweethearts https://www.etsy.com/au/shop/SodaSweethearts
This day included having a lot of photos taken, checking out the hot rods and vintage cars and caravans, selling raffle tickets to the crowds of people, having lunch, entering and watching a tattoo competition, meeting new people and having fun and laughs with my fellow pinup friends.
Day one ended up being a really busy but great day, it was so wonderful to see so many people out and about and checking out the vintage festival.
For the second and final day of the vintage festival I decided to wear my Mary Blair umbrella print  dress by Pinup Girl Clothing. I accessorized this amazing dress with my vintage style heels that I bought from a pre-loved clothing boutique, a petticoat by Hell Bunny, my pink Sun Jellies bag, white retro sunglasses, vintage beads and my parasol that I bought from Cherry Bay Fabulous (find on facebook).
The second day included watching a pouch parade, going on a horse and carriage ride, which was a lot fun, having high tea with the pinup ladies, having more photos taken and selling more raffle tickets.
All in all the weekend ended up being a wonderful and successful weekend, bring on next year's festival!!
I loved meeting and making new friends, whom have similar style to myself, supporting and promoting Maryborough and getting all dolled up in the pinup style that I love so much!

Next week I'll blogged about the Garterbelts and Gasoline festival, which I'll be attending for the very first time this weekend!

Until next time!

The weekend is getting closer!

Only a couple more days now to my first pinup pageant...even though I'm really excited, the nerves are also kicking in now! My outfit is all organized, it's just my little routine I'm not 100% sure with yet, but I do sort of have an idea what I'll do.
After the pageant, there will be a rock & roll ball. Then for the rest of the weekend for my town's first annual vintage festival there will be vintage and hot rod vehicles on display, vintage market stores, an ink competition, bands and a lot more. Hopefully it will be a great weekend!
I have at least 4 - 5 dresses I'll be wearing this weekend alone, so expect some photos of this weekend on my blog in the near future.
Here I'm wearing a tropical/Hawaiian style outfit for these photos, I bought this tropical inspired shirt a couple of weeks ago, which I decided to pair with my Sourpuss pedal pushers. I'm also accessorizing with my Miss L Fire flamingo sandals and my new yellow vintage inspired hair-scarf.
I meet up with another lovely lady yesterday who is one of the finalist this weekend for a coffee and a chat.
Shirt is from Lowes Australia.
Denim pedal pushers are from Sourpuss Clothing  https://sourpussclothing.com/
Sandals are from Miss L Fire UK   http://shop.misslfire.co.uk/
Hair-scarf is from a vintage market store.

On Saturday I went to a retro festival, which was about a two hour drive away their and back.  I mainly went down to watch their pinup pageant to gain some tips and just generally check it out, as I'd never been before.
I decided to wear my new Dee Dee dress in peach gingham by Pinup Couture, which I accessorize with my peach brooch by Atomic Mingo and my faux pearl necklace.

I caught up with another lovely lady whom is also in the pinup pageant this Friday night and In the afternoon with my friend who is the lead singer of the rockabilly band The Sugarshakers. I didn't get to see them perform though as they're gig was on late in the afternoon and I had to drive the two hours back home again, which was a bummer.
My friend took some photos of me in front of some cool looking vintage cars, (which was quite windy at the time and messed my hair big-time) we checked out a few of the vintage market stores and had some lunch. Also before heading back home I entered the pinup fashions of the field segment. Just for a bit of practice before this weekend. There was only four of ladies in it though, as by this time in the afternoon a lot of the crowd had left already!
Dress is from Pinup Girl Clothing  http://www.pinupgirlclothing.com/
Silver flats are from Rivers Australia.
Brooch is from Atomic Mingo  https://www.etsy.com/au/shop/AtomicMingo
Pearl necklace is from Vivien of Holloway  http://www.vivienofholloway.com/

My type of pinup style!

I haven't had a chance to blog for a couple of weeks, due to I've just been busy with work and my personal life to actually post a blog.  I've got a few exciting things coming up that I've been planning for as well.  Especially my first ever pinup pageant I have entered, which is happening in a couple of weeks time, I'm in the top 10!!  I have been sorting out what I'll be wearing and where to get my makeup, hair and nails professionally done...it's all so exciting!
This Saturday night I'm going out to dinner with some of the other pinup pageant finalist to meet, have a chat and have some dinner and drinks, I'm really looking forward to it.

I love this cherry print Jenny skirt by Pinup Couture (pinup girl clothing), I thought I would wear my cherry print blouse with this skirt, as they go so well together. I decided to accessorize this outfit with my cherry print hand-bag by Sourpuss Clothing. I just love cherries, it's one of my favorite novelty prints.

Fabulous Flamingos!

Today's outfit blog is a little different. For one when I took these photos I was sick again with another cold and wasn't looking or feeling crash hot. Plus I mainly want to focus this blog on my awesome new flamingo sandals from Miss L Fire UK   http://shop.misslfire.co.uk/
I've been eying of these shoes for quite a while but just couldn't justify spending nearly $200 a pair of shoes they may or may not fit! As it's a big gamble when ordering shoes online, not as easy as dresses etc. But I took the plunge and finally ended up buying a pair!
These sandals are just so unique and wonderful, I just love the colours, flamingo and tropical plants on each sandal. They come in four different colour ways the gold (which I ended up ordering) pink, silver and black. These sandals also have glitter shine over them as well. These sandals fits me length ways but are a little tight around the outer sides of my feet - near my toes. Hopefully wearing them for a bit each day I can stretch and break them in, so when I walk in these I don't end up getting blisters!
As I really want to wear them to Greazefest next weekend, which will require some walking, so hopefully they OK to wear by then.
With these sandals I'm wearing my embroidered flamingo dusty pink cardigan by Banned Apparel, my skinny pattern jeans from Target Australia and my Deerarrow cocktail brooch.

I love this little brooch by Deerarrow, it's so cute with the pineapple, the hibiscus flower and flamingo, this is my third brooch to date by this company, all they're brooches are homemade and they have so many cute and awesome brooches to choose from, on their website.
Banned Apparel flamingo cardigan is from Gwynnies Emporium   http://gwynnies.com.au/
Pattern skinny jeans are from Target Australia.
Cocktail brooch is from Deerarrow   http://www.deerarrow.com/
Flamingo sandals are from Miss L Fire UK
One more photo of these wonderful shoes, I'm so happy I have finally got myself a pair!

Until next time!
