Cherries and Roses!

For Christmas I had to exchange a gift I received so I ended up choosing this cute cherry play-suit by the brand Sourpuss Clothing from my local rockabilly/pinup clothing boutique called Cherry Tree Lane Fashions (find on facebook).
This play-suit is so comfortable to wear and great for the summer season, we've had a couple of really hot/steamy days, so this play-suit has really come in handy to wear to try and keep cool!
This play-suit is made out of stretchy cotton fabric, has shirring elastic in the back, is a halter-neck and has front pockets. The play-suit also came with a thin red belt, which I decided to not wear for these blog photos.
I'm accessorizing with a pair of black peep-toe wedges from Target Australia.
My cherry print handbag and hair-scarf also by Sourpuss Clothing.
Red and black bracelets are from Target Australia.
Red cat-eye sunglasses from ebay, and my new cherry necklace that I received at Christmas as well.

I really am loving play-suits/rompers and jumpsuits at the moment, I think they're just so cute and comfortable but yet so stylish.  I've been eyeing of this 1940's jumpsuit for winter this year, only thing it's a little on the expensive side! I'll have to see if I can work something out so I can purchase one.

The second blog photos is part 2 of photos I had taken by my friend and follow vintage blogger Miss Vera Gin Vintage before Christmas this is the link to Part 1 of the photos:  http://missmillacherry.blogspot.com.au/2015/12/red-roses.html
These photos were taken in a Japanese theme garden, in a rotunda and with the green grass, a little lake and some greatly placed rocks.
The dress I'm wearing is by the Australian vintage reproduction brand Retrospec'd http://retrospecd.com/  which I actually bought of an ebay seller for a great price.
I love the red roses and the green leaves on the white cotton fabric background. I also adore the style and how the straps tie up on the shoulders (only thing is I usually require someone to help me with the tiring of the straps).
I accessorize this gorgeous dress with my red peep-toe heels from Lucky Lou Shoes.
My faux pearls from Collectif UK.  Red hair-flower, red floral earrings and bangle are all from various accessories boutiques.
I really hope to be a bit more adventures this year with my blog photos, especially now I know someone that lives a little closer to me and whom also blogs like myself and dresses pinup/vintage style like I do. As in a couple of weeks Miss Vera Vin Vintage and I are planning to take some seaside blog photos, which I'm looking forward to and I'm already planning on a couple of outfits to take photos of and review.

Until next time!

1920's Styling!

On New Years eve I dressed up in 1920's style for a Gatsby 1920's theme party.  This is the gorgeous gown I wore, which I bought from a young lady who was selling this dress for a really good price on a facebook buy/sell/swap group...I'm not quite sure of the brand etc but I just love the whole art deco style of the dress with the gold sequins, the strapless bodice and the tulle netting.
My friend and follow vintage blogged Miss Vera Gin Vintage https://veraginvintage.wordpress.com/
dressed up too in 1920's and came out with me for the evening.  We both had a lovely time drinking a few cocktail wines, had a lovely meal together, entered the best dressed of the night which neither of us won the title!  We also listened to the band for a while, unfortunately the band didn't suit the theme of the night, as they seemed to play country/soft rock music, not swing style as I assumed the band of the night would have been playing.  So we both decided to leave before midnight and came back to my place and watch a Marilyn Monroe movie titled How to Marry a Millionaire.  We both still saw in the new year though!
I decided to accessorize this gorgeous gown with a pair of my black sandal heels from Target Australia, a costume necklace, earrings and bangle that were given to me a few years ago from various jewelry boutiques and my headpiece which I had made myself.
This year I plan to attend more pinup/rockabilly events, take some great blog photos, especially with Miss Vera Gin Vintage, have professional photoshoots with a couple of photographers in a couple of weeks for my birthday and meet up with another gorgeous and follow vintage blogger in a couple of weeks time.
I also have some new outfits to blogged about in the coming weeks...so stay tuned!

Until next time!
