Only a couple more days now to my first pinup pageant...even though I'm really excited, the nerves are also kicking in now! My outfit is all organized, it's just my little routine I'm not 100% sure with yet, but I do sort of have an idea what I'll do.
After the pageant, there will be a rock & roll ball. Then for the rest of the weekend for my town's first annual vintage festival there will be vintage and hot rod vehicles on display, vintage market stores, an ink competition, bands and a lot more. Hopefully it will be a great weekend!
I have at least 4 - 5 dresses I'll be wearing this weekend alone, so expect some photos of this weekend on my blog in the near future.
Here I'm wearing a tropical/Hawaiian style outfit for these photos, I bought this tropical inspired shirt a couple of weeks ago, which I decided to pair with my Sourpuss pedal pushers. I'm also accessorizing with my Miss L Fire flamingo sandals and my new yellow vintage inspired hair-scarf.
I meet up with another lovely lady yesterday who is one of the finalist this weekend for a coffee and a chat.
Shirt is from Lowes Australia.

On Saturday I went to a retro festival, which was about a two hour drive away their and back. I mainly went down to watch their pinup pageant to gain some tips and just generally check it out, as I'd never been before.
I decided to wear my new Dee Dee dress in peach gingham by Pinup Couture, which I accessorize with my peach brooch by Atomic Mingo and my faux pearl necklace.
I caught up with another lovely lady whom is also in the pinup pageant this Friday night and In the afternoon with my friend who is the lead singer of the rockabilly band The Sugarshakers. I didn't get to see them perform though as they're gig was on late in the afternoon and I had to drive the two hours back home again, which was a bummer.
My friend took some photos of me in front of some cool looking vintage cars, (which was quite windy at the time and messed my hair big-time) we checked out a few of the vintage market stores and had some lunch. Also before heading back home I entered the pinup fashions of the field segment. Just for a bit of practice before this weekend. There was only four of ladies in it though, as by this time in the afternoon a lot of the crowd had left already!
