English Roses!

I recently ordered a custom made floral fascinator to take blog photos with by an Australian business called Daisy Jean Floral Designs
Also to go with my Elizabeth English Roses dress by an Australian vintage inspired brand called Retrospec'd
This fascinator features one large red rose surrounded by a bouquet of smaller different pink style roses, set on a bead of green leaves with a white veil to go across the face or top part of the head like I have styled for these blog photos. The back of this hair-piece is made up of a felt base and a large clip to place securely into your hair.
I just adore this floral fascinator so much, it's so beautifully designed and constructed.  My only concern is as this is a larger hair-piece I did find it a little hard to place securely into my hair (maybe because my hair is quite thick). This floral hair-piece might sit better in my hair if there were two clips to secure into my hair! Which I might add another clip myself in the near future.
This dress by Retrospec'd has to be up there as one of my favorite vintage inspired dresses I currently own!  I love the pink and red roses print on the cream background, the neckline and the pleated swing skirt...so wonderfully constructed and designed.
This dress is made out of 100% cotton and has a hidden back zipper to get in and out of.  Unfortunately this print has been sold out through Retrospec'd but there are many other gorgeous dresses/skirts and prints to choose for yourself from their website!
I've previously blogged this dress before around Christmas time last year here is the link:

These blog photos were taken by Vera Gin Vintage a week and a half ago at a couple of different parks in Maryborough, Queensland.  At a rose garden public park and by a man-made waterfall and pond.  I always enjoy taking blog photos with Miss Vera Gin, already planning our next blog photo adventure!
In other news I've been accepted into a pinup parade in May at a rockabilly festival called Time Warp in Queensland, Australia!  I now have to decided what I'm going to wear to that.

Also I've booked a motel room for a couple of nights for myself and Vera Gin to stay at in June so we can attend another rockabilly festival called Cooly Rocks on which is held on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia. This festival actually goes for a whole week, but we're just going for a weekend.  I'm really looking forward to going as I've never been before!

Until next time!
