Hi everyone!
How are you all going? If you have been reading and following my last two blog posts, well I finally was able to return back to work today. After taking extra time off from work then what was expected, from having a slight cold/chest affection, over a week ago! I'm only back at work for a couple of weeks, then I'll be having a week off in August for my first year wedding Anniversary! My husband and I are planning on going away for a few nights, to celebrate.
For this blog post I'm reviewing this stunning 1940's inspired dress by UK vintage inspired clothing brand Vivien of Holloway
It's called 1940's Gloria Floral Spray in Pink. I was able to purchase this dress towards the end of last year, after selling a few dresses I didn't wear anymore. I'm wearing a size 22, it's a little bit roomy around the bust area, and fits well around the waist. Note: Vivien of Holloway sizes are not standard fashion sizing. Please just follow the size guide for each garment to get the right fit for you.
Also this exact dress is just about sold out on the Vivien of Holloway website, there are some other sizes in a couple of other prints of this dress on the site, to purchase. If you're on a budget, this dress is somewhat expensive! I must say for the price, this dress is made in the UK and is wonderfully constructed in a stunning floral fabric. It's also very limited edition, not many of these dresses we're made.
The fabric is made of a lovely moonlight satin and has a side zip to get in and out of. The shoulders have sewn in shoulder pads, if you're not a fan of shoulder pads you could easily remove them by unpicking the stitching. Other features include a sweetheart neckline and a waterfall sarong that drapes down from one side of the hip. I added my own belt to add more definition and shape to the dress. The sleeves fit my upper arms perfectly and I love the longer length, the skirt is 31 inches.
I wore a light cardigan with this dress because it was somewhat cool when these photos we're taken.
Vivien of Holloway is one of my favourite vintage inspired clothing brands, I love how authentic their garments are to the 1940's and 1950's and I adore all their different dress styles. I highly recommend on purchasing from this wonderful company!

These photos we're shoot by my loving husband outside and around the townhall in Maryborough, Queensland. I'm very appreciative and ever grateful that my husband takes my outfit photos, as this makes it much easier on me. As before I meet my husband Graham, most of the time I usually had to take my own photos, using a tripod and putting my camera on self-timer. This was often very time consuming and quite difficult to get the right angle shot for my outfit blog photos.
Plus I usually had to find a location with hardly no one around, as I felt insecure with taking my own photos. I don't feel this way as much when someone else is taking photos of me!
Until next time!
