Springtime!

Hi all!

How's you're week going so far?  On the weekend, just gone my husband and I went out for dinner and a few drinks at our local RSL club on the Friday night.  On the Saturday we both went to the local shopping centre to get a couple of things and we had some lunch there as well.  That same day my husband and I actually ended up getting ourselves a baby budgie, I've decided to name him Cheeky Tiki!  On the Sunday we had more of a relaxing day, my husband took some outfit of the day photos for me and we went out for a drive!
Anyway I'm half-way through another working week and I can't believe it's coming to the end of September!
For this blog post I'm reviewing this stunning dress by Swedish vintage inspired clothing company called Miss Candyfloss it's called 50's Blossom Broderie Summer Dress in Ivory.  This dress is now sold out on both the Miss Candyfloss and Top Vintage websites!
I'm wearing a size 2XL and it fits very well around the waist area, the bust area though is a little roomy!
I purchased this dress a few months ago through the Miss Candyfloss website.  I'm not really a big fan of wearing all white (as it reminds me of wearing a wedding dress) but I just loved the style and the gorgeous eyelet cotton fabric.  Also I knew I could accessorize this dress with other colours such as pink, as in these blog photos.
The other features to this dress is the sweetheart neckline and the fabric fold-over on the neckline. There is also fabric buttons on the bodice and I adore the short capped sleeves.  This dress also has a hidden back zipper, a matching fabric belt and side pockets.
The swing skirt has knife pleats and the skirt length falls just below my knees! My height is 5' 7" for reference guide. The skirt is also fully lined and I'm also wearing my own petticoat underneath.
I'm looking forward in accessorizing this dress in another colour, when I decided to wear this dress again!
This dress feels like a great spring/summer dress.
Accessories Include:
Pink Boater hat by Unique Vintage
Brooch by Erstwilder
Earrings and Bangles by Splendette
Pink handbag from Lola Von Rose
Pink flats by Bettie Page Footwear and ordered via Nichole Jade Boutique
These photos for my blog we're photographed by my wonderful husband at a local park and walkway area down near the Mary river in Maryborough, Queensland
It sometimes can be quite challenging to find different local locations to use as a background that's going to suit my dress or outfit. I'm always on the search to find other photo opportunity locations!  Also I prefer my photos to be taken in shady, darker areas and not out in the direct sunlight as the glare from the sun can make outfit photos look pretty awful!

Until next time!
