Hi all!
How's you're week been so far? Over the weekend, just gone my husband and I went out for dinner and had a few drinks on the Friday night at our local RSL club. On the Saturday we both did our fortnightly grocery shop and on the Sunday we went for a drive down to Hervey Bay, Queensland to get a few items for our new budgie Cheeky Tiki at a pet shop down there. My husband and I also had some lunch down there as well! That same afternoon I had the opportunity to have a mini photoshoot at a local 1950's inspired diner called Happy Days Diner for an upcoming blog post - keep an eye out for that!
Anyway I'm half-way through another working week, this weekend will be a long weekend here in Queensland so I'm looking forward to having three days off!
For this blog post I'm reviewing this beautiful 1940's inspired dress by a company called Sheen Clothing unfortunely though as a customer like myself you cannot buy direct from them through their website you have to purchase through a stockist company. I was able to purchase this dress from a UK vintage inspired clothing company called Cherry Red Vintage
This dress is called Ava 1940's Royal Blue Tea Dress, I'm wearing a size 18 and it fits like a glove on me. There are many sizes left to purchase and it's currently on sale for a discounted price on the Cherry Red Vintage website!
I just loved this colour of blue and the 1940's inspired style. The material is made of a 100% polyester, and is a lightweight crepe.
Some of the features to this wonderful dress is the white floral embroidery on each side on the front of this dress. There is also a scalloped bust detail and it also has ties on the collar and on the sleeves. There is a hidden back zipper to get in and out of and the skirt is panelled. I do love a 1940's inspired dress and this one ticks all the right boxes for me! Go and have a look at the Cherry Red Vintage website, as there are other Sheen Clothing dresses to admire and even purchase for yourself! Accessories Include:
Blue vintage inspired hat is by Belbeina Lee
Bangles and Earrings by Splendette
White Handbag by Pinup Girl Clothing
Blue Sandals by Charlie Stone Shoes
These blog photos for shoot by my amazing husband down at a park in Hervey Bay, Queensland.
Hervey Bay is a beachside town, that is a 20 minute drive away from where I live in Maryborough.
Lots of tourists visit Hervey Bay, mainly for two reasons as it's right next door to one of the biggest sand islands in the world - Fraser Island and also every year around July to October there is a large migration of humpback whales that spend some time in the warm calm waters of Hervey Bay to mate to give birth and to show off. Tourists and locals go out on special whale watching boats to admire the whales socially interact with each other!
Until next time!
