I recently received this dress from an UK vintage inspired clothing brand called Dolly and Dotty
This dress is called the Anna Adorable 50's inspired swing dress, I chose the red and black striped dress but there are other colour ways to choose from for example red and white, yellow and white, black and white and green and black.
As well as the many wonderful dresses to choose from Dolly and Dotty also sell women's skirts, tops and headbands. I actually received a matching headband with this dress, which I'm wearing in these blog post photos.
I would highly recommend on ordering yourself something from Dolly and Dotty, as there dresses/skirts/tops are quite reasonably priced and very well designed and tailored.
This adorable dress is made out of 95% cotton and 5% Elastane. The size I choose fits me like a dream, I just followed the size chart supplied on Dolly and Dotty's website. This dress is very comfortable to wear and will be great to wear in both the summer and winter months. For winter here in Queensland, Australia I can just had a cardigan and a pair of tights underneath.
I just adore the black and red striped print (as red is my favorite colour). This dress has a simple scoop front and lower back neckline, has a hidden side zipper and has a full circle skirt with box pleats.
I added my own wide belt to clinch in my waist-line.
Accessories Include:
Black heels are thrifted
Glasses are thrifted
Sunglasses are by Collectif ordered through Gwynnies Emporium
Black Vinyl Belt is from Pinup Girl Clothing
Curling Cassandra cat Brooch is by Erstwilder and is thrifted
Umbrella is also thrifted
These blog photos were taken at Yengarie Gallery and Garden in these beautiful gardens you can have art lessons, have your own intimate private functions and outdoor garden weddings. Also you can use for special photographic backgrounds like have for these photos.
I had a lovely couple of hours out at these gardens taking my own photos and chatting to the lovely couple that owns and up-keeps these wonderful gardens.
There are many different style backgrounds you can use for your own photos for example a huge pond, an old style bus stop, an old boat and car, tropical style gardens, a garden chapel and many more.
I hope in the near future I can take some more photos here!
I've only got a few more days left of holidays, I'm back to work on Friday, yay....not!
On Thursday before going back to work I've planned to take more blog photos with Miss Vera Gin Vintage, which I'm really looking forward to, as it's more fun having someone to take photos with!
Yesterday I went out with my Dad to a vintage car show for a couple of hours, my Dad took some photos of me in front of some cars and I meet up with a few local pinup girls.
Until next time!

Colourful Pinup!
On Saturday 31st of October 2015 I attended the Decades Festival in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
The Decades Festival included a mixture of music (bands), vehicles and fashions from the 1950's through to the 1990's. Though saying that the pinup pageant and the fashion parade (which I took part in) mainly included inspired fashions from the 1950's and 60's.
At the festival I looked around at the awesome vintage cars, had some lunch with a follow pinup friend, had a bit of a browse at a few of the market stalls, watched the pinup pageant, participated in the fashion parade and had some photos taken at the event.
It was so hot walking around in the sun, even though I had an umbrella with me I still got a bit burnt.
The above photos are some professional photos of me on the catwalk and having a photo taken with a 1950's vintage car.
I really loved the outfit I chose to wear for this event, as I do love bright, bold colours. Plus pink is one of my favorite colours.
I wore my new Dolores pink top by Collectif UK https://www.collectif.co.uk/
Queen of hearts border print Jenny skirt by Pinup Girl Clothing http://www.pinupgirlclothing.com/
I accessorized this outfit with a pink pinup belt and pink hair-scarf from an ebay seller. A pair of pink retro sunglasses that I received as a gift and my tea-set brooch from Deerarrow http://www.deerarrow.com/
I also walked around with my pink and yellow umbrella as part of my outfit at the event.
A few days ago I received in the post three different hair-flowers from an Australian company called Daisy Jean Floral Designs http://daisyjeanfloraldesigns.com/
I've been wanting to purchase some of their hair-flowers for a while but just haven't done so, until recently.
I ordered and bought a big sunflower piece, a rose double and a pink gerbera as in these blog photos.
As soon as I received these lovely pieces I wanted to take some blog photos, to showcase them to you all that follow my blog. For this pink Gerbera I knew I had to match it with a bright and colourful floral dress, and I knew straight away which dress to wear my floral halter-neck swing dress from Vivien of Holloway.
Floral Fiesta swing dress is by Vivien of Holloway http://www.vivienofholloway.com/
Pink gerbera hair-flower is from Daisy Jean Floral Designs
Wide blue belt is from an ebay seller and my pink flower brooch is vintage.
Petticoat is from Gwynnies Emporium http://gwynnies.com.au/
Next week I'll blogged about the pinup picnic by the sea that I recently enjoyed and attended!
Until next time!

Atomic Radio!
Okay so I've officially started my holidays for about three weeks! Yay!! It's going to be so nice to have a bit of a break from work. For the next few weeks I might do something different on my blog and include pics and little stories of what I get up to on my holidays. Kicking off with Greazefest this weekend. Hopefully I can take some photos and post them on here along with on my instagram feed.
On other news today I got myself the new iphone6 (I thought it was about time I upgraded my mobile phone), which was an iphone 4S.
This dress I'm wearing for today's blog post is by another vintage reproduction company based in the UK called Love ur Look Clothing http://www.loveurlook.co.uk/
I came across this company on instagram and decided to have a look on their website. I totally loved this dress straight away and decided to buy it!
I love the scooped neckline, the four red buttons on the front bodice, the length (great for taller ladies), the atomic fabric print and the pleats. Other great bonus this dress is lined, comes with a matching belt and has pockets. You can also purchase the same print also in a wiggle dress.
I am accessorizing this dress with my Deerarrow radio brooch, my luckylou shoes and a hair-scarf.
Dress is by the brand Love ur Look Clothing.
Shoes are by Lucky Lou Shoes http://www.luckyloushoes.com/
Radio brooch is by Deer arrow http://www.deerarrow.com/
Hair-scarf is from Cherry Bay Fabulous (find on facebook)
This radio brooch is so cute, it's made out of wood and is hand painted, Deer Arrow have some really cute accessories on their website including brooches, cardigan clips and earrings.
Until next time!

Elegant Flowers!
Today's outfit blog post is about this lovely floral dress by the vintage reproduction clothing brand Lindybop. I've decided to accessorize this dress with my Paris print handbag and my cat-eye sunglasses.
I bought this dress over a year ago now from an ebay seller, I loved the floral print, the style and cut of this dress. It also has a big bow tie and gathered pleats down from the bow, which is made out of the same print (that's why, it's hard to see) on the side of the waist. I also love the length, my Mum though had to alter the top half of the dress, as it was somewhat big on me in the bust area when I received it and tried it on. Now it's fits really quite well on me.
For these photos I'm also wearing a petticoat underneath, to give the dress more structure and shape.
My dress is by Lindybop and is from an ebay seller.
My black flats are from Kmart.
My Paris print handbag is from a local handbag and luggage boutique.
The petticoat and sunglasses are both from an ebay seller.
The purple tights are from Target.
In the above photo is a beautiful floral tattoo, I found online. I would love a tattoo like this, maybe somewhere on my back! Anyway I thought it fits in with my "elegant flowers" blog post for today.
Until next time!

All in Blue!
Today's outfit blog post is about this blue with white poker-dots dress by the vintage reproduction clothing brand Hearts and Roses London and I decided to accessorize this dress with my cute retro radio brooch by an Australian business called Deerarrow.
I bought this dress about a year ago now on ebay for a reasonable price. I liked the style of this dress with the circle skirt and the buttons down the front. I also liked the short sleeves and black tulle around the bottom of this dress. Plus the blue material with the white poker-dots over it. This dress also fits well on me and I like the length. It does come with it's own material matching belt but I decided to wear a wider style belt that I own instead. I'm also wearing a white petticoat underneath, in these photos.
My dress is by the brand Hearts and Roses London which I bought from an ebay seller.
My navy blue shoes are from Rivers http://www.rivers.com.au/
The radio brooch is from Deerarrow http://www.deerarrow.com/
Cat-eye sunglasses, hair-scarf and wide blue belt is from an ebay seller.
I found this stunning photo online of the blue & white sky joining the gorgeous blue ocean. Such a beautiful photo for today's "All in Blue" outfit blog post.

Vivien of Holloway
This blog post is about my review on the vintage reproduction fashion brand Vivien of Holloway!
Vivien of Holloway are based in London, UK and all their clothing items are made in London. This brand sells both men and ladies vintage inspired fashion clothing and accessories. For example men: shirts and t-shirts and for women: dresses, skirts, trousers, tops and blouses. They also sell women's accessories for example jewelery, hair accessories, lingerie, petticoats and bags.
Vivien of Holloway have their own website where you can find all their fashion items they have for sale to buy for yourself, the website is: http://www.vivienofholloway.com/
There's also a sister Australian based store called "Christine's" that sell's Vivien of Holloway's clothing and accessories, which is located in Melbourne, Victoria.
I currently own two dresses, and a pair of red swing trousers from this brand. The first dress I bought for myself was around six months ago, this particular dress was on "sale" for a very good price on their online website. I loved the style and floral print on it. So I had to buy it! This dress is called "halterneck floral fiesta circle dress".
This dress is so gorgeous, I love the halterneck and swing style of this dress and also the floral fabric print with all those colors. Another bonus this dress came with it's own matching bolero, as shown in picture of the model on the left.
This dress is very well made and also had a boned bodice, which is something I don't have in any of my other swing/circle dresses.
It's made of cotton material and has a back zipper, to get in and out of.
I really love Vivien of Holloway inspired vintage ladies clothing, because they are really well-made and constructed and their clothing pieces and accessories actually feel like your wearing a true vintage piece from the 1940's/50's.
Vivien of Holloway's pricing is of medium to the high price range, usually ranging between ($80 - $200) for a particular item of clothing. But from time to time, you can pick up something for a very good price in the "sale" section on their website.
The sizes are quite different to everyday mainstream clothing, so just follow the size guide and measurements to make sure you order the right size, if buying online.
The next dress I bought for myself was around three months ago, again from the actual website and in the "sale" section, this dress is the "kitty day dress" in a pink gingham/floral print.
I really love the style, color and fabric print of this dress. I also love how this dress has pockets and I also like the buttons down the front of this dress.
I find you have to wear a belt though, whilst wearing this dress, because myself personally think it looks and sits better whist wearing this lovely frock.
This dress also came with it's own matching hair scarf. It's made of a cotton material and has a zipper down the side and buttons down the front to get and out of.
You can buy Vivien of Holloway's fashion items from their own website, from the Australian boutique called "Christine's" - which you can find on facebook and now and again from ebay.
Do you like the brand Vivien of Holloway?
