At The Wharf!

Hi everyone!

An update from my last post, I'm feeling 100% better then I was last Friday/Saturday.  I'm currently taking antibiotics that my GP had prescribe to me on Monday. I had hoped to return back to work by now but due to new workplace policies, regarding flu's and colds I won't be able to return to work until next week!  I'm now having extra days off, then what was expected!
The last few days the weather here in Queensland, Australia has been miserable, with overcast, cold and rainy days!
I really hope the weather will be nicer over the weekend, just have to wait and see!
For this blog post I'm reviewing one of my favourite dress by Australian vintage inspired clothing company Retrospec'd
This dress is called Gigi in Fishermans wharf.  I adore the print, with the nautical theme, the colours and the style of this dress.
I was able to purchase this dress for a great "on sale" price from Retrospec'd, around 6 months ago!
I'm wearing a size 16 and it fits perfectly on me.  There are still most sizes left to purchase from in this exact dress.
Other features to this dress in the narrow adjustable straps, I must say which I do prefer.  As straps falling off my shoulders, can be very annoying! This dress also has side hidden pockets and narrow tucks in the skirt.  You could wear a medium size petticoat underneath, but again I choose not to for these blog photos!
The material is a lovely cotton stretch sateen, so it's very comfortable and breathable to wear, especially in the hotter summer months.
I love wearing Retrospec'd because of their gorgeous dress fabric prints and the many different vintage inspired styles you can choose from.  Plus they're an Australian company as well!
Accessories Include:
Pink Beret from ebay Australia
Brooch by Erstwilder
Earrings by Revere Folie (No longer in business)
Bangles by Splendette
Shoes by Bettie Page Shoes ordered through Nicole Jade Boutique
These photos we're shoot by my wonderful husband down by the Mary river in Maryborough, Queensland.  I knew I wanted to have boats and yachts in the background to match the print on my dress.  That's one thing I always love to do when I'm taking my outfit and blog photos, I'll always try my best to find a location/background to suit the theme of my outfit/dress!

Until next time!

Lemon Yellow!

Hi everyone!

Last Friday morning I woke with a very sore throat and a head cold.  I rang up work to let my supervisor know I won't be able to make into work! As I work in an aged care facility I was told I had to go and get tested for covid-19, believe me this is not very pleasant.  I have since been cleared for Coronavirus which is great news!
Unfortunely I still can't return back to work at this stage, until I am completely symptom free of my slight chest infection! At the moment I just have a very mild cough.
For this blog post I'm featuring this gorgeous dress by UK company The Pretty Dress Company
It's called Tilly of the Shoulder Bow Prom Dress.  I purchased this dress around 6 months ago for a very good sale price at that time!  This exact dress is available to pre-order through The Pretty Dress Company website for the full amount. Note: if you're on a tight budget it is quite expensive.
It is such a stunning dress though and is very well designed and constructed.  All their clothing items are made and produced in the UK.
I'm wearing a size 18 and this dress fits perfectly on me, just follow the size guide on the website for you're best fit.
I love the lemon colour and the pleated full swing skirt, that has hidden side pockets! The skirt actually has it's own net constructed under the dress. For extra skirt full-ness and swing you could wear you're own petticoat underneath, for these photos I choose not to!
Other features to this dress is that it is fully lined and has a boned bodice and a concealed back zip to get in and out of.  I also adore the draped of the shoulder neckline and the two adorable shoulder bows.
It's made of a stretch crepe fabric.  I actually own a few dresses from The Pretty Dress Company and they're all truly well designed and constructed! I highly recommend on ordering from this amazing dress company!
Accessories Include:
Wide Brim Hat - ordered through follow blogger Miss Harlow Darling
Bangles and Earrings by Splendette
Flower Brooch by Miss Gigi Anne
Yellow Heels from Bait Footwear
These blog photos we're shoot by my husband at Yengarie Gallery and Gardens
This is one of my favourite locations to visit and take photos at wearing my beautiful dresses!  The lovely couple that own and look after these gardens are very welcoming and are accommodating to allow me to use their amazing gardens as photo backdrops!
I hope to visit again soon in the near future.

Until next time!
