Into the Jungle!

Hi everyone!

I've decided to get back into my vintage inspired fashion blogging, after taking another long break from my blog!

Much has happened since my last blog post, way back in August 2019.  I got married back in August to my darling husband Graham, we both had such a lovely wedding and reception.  A few days later we went on our honeymoon trip up North of Queensland, we went away for a few weeks, the both of us had such a wonderful time - seeing all the sights, catching up with some friends and with some of Graham's family members.
We have also had to move homes a couple of times, in a matter of six months.  Then Bam - Covid19 happened! This meant not being able to go to any rockabilly/pinup car events, family events or even just go for a simple drive somewhere out of town.
I still have been dressing up in my vintage inspired clothing, whenever I can, usually on weekends and when I'm on leave from work.  My wonderful husband takes my photos for me when I'm dress-up in my outfits.  I share some of these photos on my instagram profile miss_millacherry and on my facebook page Missmillacherry.  Please follow me if you're not already.
For this week's blog post I just have to share with you this amazing jumpsuit by UK brand Vivien of Holloway
I ordered this jumpsuit a few weeks into Convid19 crisis from Vivien of Holloway website, this was the longest wait ever that I have waited for a parcel to arrive!  Anyway 10 weeks later it finally arrived from the UK to where I live in Queensland, Australia.  I really thought this awesome jumpsuit was loss forever!
I haven't really been a big fan of "animal" print fabrics over the years but this leopard print jumpsuit  looked like so much fun to wear and totally out of my usual vintage/pinup inspired style, I just had to purchase it!
This romper jumpsuit is so comfortable, yet stylish to wear.  I just love the elasticated waist and the zip down the front to get in and out of.
The romper has pockets and the sleeves fit well on my arms - I don't like tight sleeves!
It's made out of 100% cotton, has turned up pant cuffs and has a shirt style collar.
I ordered a size 22 in Vivien of Holloway's own size and this jumpsuit fits well on me, and is very comfortable to wear throughout the day.  Just follow your own measurements on the size guide section of the website for your own best fit.
There are still some sizes left to choose from in this same romper jumpsuit.  There are a couple of other print rompers to choose from, they are though a bit more expensive to purchase.
I decided to accessorize with red,  I think black, pink or even yellow would look great with this leopard print romper.
Accessories Include:
Red beret from ebay Australia
Tiger brooch from Erstwilder
Red belt from another outfit
Earrings and bangles from Splendette
Red Sandals by Bettie Page Shoes and ordered through Nichole Jade Boutique

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, whatever you may be doing!
I don't have many plans for this weekend, just boring grocery shopping and I'll probably go and visit my Mum and sister.

Until next time!

Jungle Jumpsuit!

A little while ago Swedish based vintage/retro clothing inspired company Emmy Design had a Mid-Summer sale. So I bought this wonderful overalls/jumpsuit to wear.
I've been wanting to buy from this brand for quite some time, but because their clothing is on the upper price scale, I haven't had the chance to do so, so when this great sale came up, I took the plunge and ordered the Jungle Journey Overalls. I love the navy blue background and the white floral print.
This jumpsuit is so comfortable to wear, it's made from 97% cotton and 3% spandex.  I ordered size 44 from their own sizing, which fits my measurements very well, I just followed their sizing chart to get the right fit for me.
Currently this jumpsuit is listed on Emmy's website for 79.92 pounds or $140 (Australian dollars)
This jumpsuit came with a red braided faux leather belt and has belt lops around the waist on the jumpsuit. To get in and out off, there are cute little navy buttons that go all the way down the front. Also there is a three inch bottom hem, which can be easily lengthened or shorted, depending on your height. So this jumpsuit is great for both short or tall women.
There are two chest pockets, two side seam pockets and two decorative back pockets.  It also has pleats in the front and back and short puffy sleeves with a cuffed hem.
I highly recommend this jumpsuit/overalls as they are very well designed and constructed and so comfortable, yet stylish to wear.

In these blog photos also, is my new handbag from Vendula London which is the shoe box bag, which I bought on "sale" unfortunately both the red/black and pink/black handbags in this exact design are now out of stock.  I love the front of this bag, which resembles a store front, with all styles of shoes to look at in the two front windows.  On the back there is a lady with her shopping bags walking across Abbey Road with her adorable poodle.
This bag is fully lined with exclusive London print fabric, has three separate interior compartments. Two inside zip pockets and one external back zip pocket.  There is a detachable/adjustable shoulder strap. Even when I do adjust the strap it's still quite long, which I was quite surprise by, as I've never had handbag straps that long before.
The dimensions are Height: 21cm  Width:  24.5 cm and Depth: 7.5 cm
Accessories Include:
Shoes from Novo Shoes Australia
Erstwilder red cat brooch from an ebay seller.
Red cat-eye sunglasses from a rockabilly market stall.
Red hair-flower, earrings and bangles are from numerous accessories boutiques.
These blog photos were taken at a historical village in the town of Childers, Queensland by my friend and follow blogger Vera Gin Vintage.  The historical village has some old style wagons (as in these photos), some old buildings e.g. a little cottage, school and a shop and a old style train.  Vera Gin also took photos of me in another outfit at this same location (which I'll blog about soon, down the track).
In other news there is only a few days left until myself and Vera Vamp go to the annual rockabilly festival in Brisbane, Queensland called Greazefest Kustom Kulture Festival, which runs for a whole weekend, we plan to go both Saturday and Sunday.  Also we are both in the pinups on parade on the Saturday, showing off our own personal pinup/vintage style with other beautiful and stylish pinups ladies.

A beautiful picture of myself and a short story was in my local paper just recently, promoting both my pinup/vintage style and Greazefest.  I believe I'm also going to be in tomorrow's paper as well!  I'm quite excited and happy to be featured in the local paper!
I will let you all know next week how I go regarding this fun weekend at Greazefest!

Until next time!

Gigi-Rose Jumpsuit!

The most wonderful jumpsuit I wanted to share with you all is from an Swedish vintage inspired clothing brand called  Miss Candyfloss
I actually ordered this jumpsuit through an Australian pinup/rockabilly clothing and accessories boutique called Ms Katts Kustom House which I had on lay-by for a couple of months.

I'd been eyeing of this jumpsuit on instagram and other blogger pages and needed one for myself!  I'm so glad I ended up ordering one and in my favorite colour red!
This jumpsuit is called Gigi-Rose Pant-skirt in the red colour way. Other colours currently for sale on Miss Candyfloss website is black, olive green, and petrol (some have very limited sizes left).
I ordered size Large and it fits like a dream. This jumpsuit is so comfortable yet very stylish at the same time!
This jumpsuit is made from a medium soft cotton fabric with 3% spandex for extra comfort, which definitely is, so comfortable to wear.
The jumpsuit comes with a matching detachable belt, has 2 front and back pockets and has tulip elbow length sleeves. Other great features is the wide pleated legs both front and back and the pleated bust. There is a front hidden zip and button to get in and out of the jumpsuit.
Miss Candyfloss clothing range from sizes XS to XXXL.
Accessories Include:
Black shoes are thrifted
Handbag thrifted
Bangle thrifted
Cloche hat thrifted
Brooch is a gift
Sunglasses by Collectif ordered through Gwynnies Emporium
These photos were taken by my friend and follow blogger Vera Gin Vintage at a lovely park along the Burnett river in Bundaberg, Queensland, a few weeks ago.
After we took blog photos of each other, we both had a little look around at the small zoo nearby which has all different types of birds, emus, reptiles, and a couple of dingoes.
In other news my follow pinup/blogger friend "Miss Vera Vamp" and I drove down to Gold Coast, Queensland over the weekend to attend a huge rockabilly/retro festival called Cooly Rocks On. Miss Vera Vamp was in the Miss Cooly Rocks pinup competition, which had 14 finalist in it, she was awesome! Though she didn't get a place!
We both checked out all the wonderful vintage cars, and did some shopping at the retro markets and vintage stalls. Plus meet other pinup/vintage inspired ladies. It was a great weekend, just went by too fast!
We're both looking forward to attending another big rockabilly festival in August this year called Greazefest!

Until next time!

Cherries and Roses!

For Christmas I had to exchange a gift I received so I ended up choosing this cute cherry play-suit by the brand Sourpuss Clothing from my local rockabilly/pinup clothing boutique called Cherry Tree Lane Fashions (find on facebook).
This play-suit is so comfortable to wear and great for the summer season, we've had a couple of really hot/steamy days, so this play-suit has really come in handy to wear to try and keep cool!
This play-suit is made out of stretchy cotton fabric, has shirring elastic in the back, is a halter-neck and has front pockets. The play-suit also came with a thin red belt, which I decided to not wear for these blog photos.
I'm accessorizing with a pair of black peep-toe wedges from Target Australia.
My cherry print handbag and hair-scarf also by Sourpuss Clothing.
Red and black bracelets are from Target Australia.
Red cat-eye sunglasses from ebay, and my new cherry necklace that I received at Christmas as well.

I really am loving play-suits/rompers and jumpsuits at the moment, I think they're just so cute and comfortable but yet so stylish.  I've been eyeing of this 1940's jumpsuit for winter this year, only thing it's a little on the expensive side! I'll have to see if I can work something out so I can purchase one.

The second blog photos is part 2 of photos I had taken by my friend and follow vintage blogger Miss Vera Gin Vintage before Christmas this is the link to Part 1 of the photos:  http://missmillacherry.blogspot.com.au/2015/12/red-roses.html
These photos were taken in a Japanese theme garden, in a rotunda and with the green grass, a little lake and some greatly placed rocks.
The dress I'm wearing is by the Australian vintage reproduction brand Retrospec'd http://retrospecd.com/  which I actually bought of an ebay seller for a great price.
I love the red roses and the green leaves on the white cotton fabric background. I also adore the style and how the straps tie up on the shoulders (only thing is I usually require someone to help me with the tiring of the straps).
I accessorize this gorgeous dress with my red peep-toe heels from Lucky Lou Shoes.
My faux pearls from Collectif UK.  Red hair-flower, red floral earrings and bangle are all from various accessories boutiques.
I really hope to be a bit more adventures this year with my blog photos, especially now I know someone that lives a little closer to me and whom also blogs like myself and dresses pinup/vintage style like I do. As in a couple of weeks Miss Vera Vin Vintage and I are planning to take some seaside blog photos, which I'm looking forward to and I'm already planning on a couple of outfits to take photos of and review.

Until next time!
