This sassy outfit I'm wearing and reviewing for these blog photos is by the UK vintage reproduction brand Banned Apparel
Though I actually ordered this outfit through one of my favorite Australian boutiques called Gwynnies Emporium
Let me begin this black top, it's made from 95% viscose and 5% elastan, so is very comfortable to wear, especially as it has some stretch to it Other features is the 3/4 sleeves and the boat-neck style. I find with this top you can dress it up with a gorgeous skirt and accessories or down with a pair of high-waisted jeans or trousers.
This skirt, I'm usually not a big fan of pencil/wiggle skirts - as I don't like how there is usually not much movement with walking whilst wearing them and they show all your bumps and curves. But I wanted to give this pencil skirt from Banned Apparel a try! As I liked the longer length and the green/black/navy blue tartan print. This skirt is lined, has a back kick pleat (easy for walking) and has a decorative button detail. Other features is the contrast two front pockets, it has a back zipper and is made from 100% polyester. I ordered size Large, which feels real comfortable to wear.
Both the modern love black top and green tartan pencil skirt are currently still available to purchase on Gwynnies website. The skirt is $49 (Aus) and top $36 (Aus).
Accessories Include:
Flats from Payless Australia
Belt from Pinup Girl Clothing
Eve Brooch by Deerarrow ordered from Vintage Pip
Green earrings from Daisy Jean Floral
Scarf and bangles thrifted
These blog photos were taken a few weeks ago by my friend and follow blogger Vera Gin Vintage. At a historical village in the town of Childers, Queensland The
historical village has some old style wagons, some
old buildings e.g. a little cottage, school and a shop and a old
train.
In other news, I had a lovely time away with family for a couple of days on Fraser Island, my brother married his long time girlfriend - they actually eloped, as they just wanted a small intimate wedding to celebrate with close family members.
Also I only have this week left of my holidays....I'm back to work soon, damn!!
Until next time!
