Pinup Style vs Rockabilly Style

Guess what? I've entered my first pinup pageant! It's a local one, that is happening next month. I had to submit 3 photos of myself and write a little biography about why I love pinup/vintage/rockabilly lifestyle and/or fashion.
My three photos are up on a facebook event page this is the link https://www.facebook.com/events/564217140384200/  if anyone that reads this blog post wouldn't mind going to this link and liking my three photos please!!
As well as wearing this gorgeous dress the other weekend to Greazefest, I also took my own photos wearing this Pinup Girl Clothing dress for the "miss rockin pinup" entry photos.
I totally love this dress so much, I love the pink colour, the parasol/umbrella print, the white gathered bust, the little black bow under the bust and of course the matching bolero.
As soon as I saw this dress on the coming soon section of the Pinup Girl Clothing website I just had to buy it, when is became available to purchase.
I just love how my Frenchie "Beauty School Dropout" brooch by Atomic Mingo matches this dress so perfectly.

The Evelyn dress in Mary Blair Umbrella print is from Pinup Girl Clothing   http://www.pinupgirlclothing.com/

I wore this rockabilly style outfit the other day to do some things at home, relax and out to the shops for a bit.
These pedal pusher jeans are so cool looking, I love the darker colour, the hemmed cuffs and the stretch cotton material. I feel like a cool rockabilly chic when I wear this!
I decided to wear this jeans with my friends rockabilly band tee called "The Sugarshakers".

Florals vs Fruity!

Well I'm more then half-way through my holidays from work, and it's been really lovely not having to worry about getting ready or going to work!

Today's blog post is about two beautiful dresses I've worn recently over my holidays/time off from work.
The first is this gorgeous floral print dress, which I have blogged previously before this is the link if you wish to have a look:  http://missmillacherry.blogspot.com.au/2015/04/pretty-flowers.html
The brand is called Timeless by Vannessa Tong (find on facebook).
I love the floral print, the neckline and the length. Other great bonus to this dress it's fully lined and has hidden lipstick pockets!
I wore this dress out to dinner one night with some close girlfriends and out to run some errands and to the local shops.
I decided to accessorize this dress with my white cardigan, my faux pearl necklace, my yellow hair-flower and a pair of tights, as it's still been a little cold recently.
Floral dress is from That Shop (find of facebook)
White peep-toe shoes, white cardigan and tights are from Target Australia.
Faux pearl necklace is from Vivien of Holloway http://www.vivienofholloway.com/
Yellow hair-flower is from Cherry Bay Fabulous (find on facebook)
The second dress I'm blogging about today is this beautiful frock by an Australian brand called Retrospec'd   http://retrospecd.com/
Which I have also blogged previously before this is the link:  http://missmillacherry.blogspot.com.au/2015/03/basket-of-fruit.html
I adore the fruit fabric print, all the brights colours, the length, the light cotton fabric, the style and how this dress has pockets and comes with a matching belt.
I wore this beautiful frock to a vintage fair over the weekend with my Mum and sister. I was a little disappointed with the fair as a lot of the clothing/accessories were somewhat over-priced for a smaller country town. Though I did end up buying a vintage handbag and a red coat.
I decided to accessorize this dress with my vintage straw hat, my vintage necklace, a black cardigan and my new "I carried a watermelon" brooch by an Australian brand called Atomic Mingo. The beautiful lady whom owns this little business designs and paints all her brooches herself, which is so awesome! I currently own three brooches from her business.
Dress I bought from Miskonduct Klothing  http://www.miskonduct.com/
Vintage hat and necklace are both from local vintage stores.
Black cardigan is from Kmart Australia
Watermelon brooch is from Atomic Mingo https://www.etsy.com/au/shop/AtomicMingo

Until next time!
