Cherries and Roses!

For Christmas I had to exchange a gift I received so I ended up choosing this cute cherry play-suit by the brand Sourpuss Clothing from my local rockabilly/pinup clothing boutique called Cherry Tree Lane Fashions (find on facebook).
This play-suit is so comfortable to wear and great for the summer season, we've had a couple of really hot/steamy days, so this play-suit has really come in handy to wear to try and keep cool!
This play-suit is made out of stretchy cotton fabric, has shirring elastic in the back, is a halter-neck and has front pockets. The play-suit also came with a thin red belt, which I decided to not wear for these blog photos.
I'm accessorizing with a pair of black peep-toe wedges from Target Australia.
My cherry print handbag and hair-scarf also by Sourpuss Clothing.
Red and black bracelets are from Target Australia.
Red cat-eye sunglasses from ebay, and my new cherry necklace that I received at Christmas as well.

I really am loving play-suits/rompers and jumpsuits at the moment, I think they're just so cute and comfortable but yet so stylish.  I've been eyeing of this 1940's jumpsuit for winter this year, only thing it's a little on the expensive side! I'll have to see if I can work something out so I can purchase one.

The second blog photos is part 2 of photos I had taken by my friend and follow vintage blogger Miss Vera Gin Vintage before Christmas this is the link to Part 1 of the photos:  http://missmillacherry.blogspot.com.au/2015/12/red-roses.html
These photos were taken in a Japanese theme garden, in a rotunda and with the green grass, a little lake and some greatly placed rocks.
The dress I'm wearing is by the Australian vintage reproduction brand Retrospec'd http://retrospecd.com/  which I actually bought of an ebay seller for a great price.
I love the red roses and the green leaves on the white cotton fabric background. I also adore the style and how the straps tie up on the shoulders (only thing is I usually require someone to help me with the tiring of the straps).
I accessorize this gorgeous dress with my red peep-toe heels from Lucky Lou Shoes.
My faux pearls from Collectif UK.  Red hair-flower, red floral earrings and bangle are all from various accessories boutiques.
I really hope to be a bit more adventures this year with my blog photos, especially now I know someone that lives a little closer to me and whom also blogs like myself and dresses pinup/vintage style like I do. As in a couple of weeks Miss Vera Vin Vintage and I are planning to take some seaside blog photos, which I'm looking forward to and I'm already planning on a couple of outfits to take photos of and review.

Until next time!

1920's Styling!

On New Years eve I dressed up in 1920's style for a Gatsby 1920's theme party.  This is the gorgeous gown I wore, which I bought from a young lady who was selling this dress for a really good price on a facebook buy/sell/swap group...I'm not quite sure of the brand etc but I just love the whole art deco style of the dress with the gold sequins, the strapless bodice and the tulle netting.
My friend and follow vintage blogged Miss Vera Gin Vintage https://veraginvintage.wordpress.com/
dressed up too in 1920's and came out with me for the evening.  We both had a lovely time drinking a few cocktail wines, had a lovely meal together, entered the best dressed of the night which neither of us won the title!  We also listened to the band for a while, unfortunately the band didn't suit the theme of the night, as they seemed to play country/soft rock music, not swing style as I assumed the band of the night would have been playing.  So we both decided to leave before midnight and came back to my place and watch a Marilyn Monroe movie titled How to Marry a Millionaire.  We both still saw in the new year though!
I decided to accessorize this gorgeous gown with a pair of my black sandal heels from Target Australia, a costume necklace, earrings and bangle that were given to me a few years ago from various jewelry boutiques and my headpiece which I had made myself.
This year I plan to attend more pinup/rockabilly events, take some great blog photos, especially with Miss Vera Gin Vintage, have professional photoshoots with a couple of photographers in a couple of weeks for my birthday and meet up with another gorgeous and follow vintage blogger in a couple of weeks time.
I also have some new outfits to blogged about in the coming weeks...so stay tuned!

Until next time!

Family Time at the Bay!

I hope everyone enjoyed Christmas with your family/loved ones!  I certainly did, I had a lovely three days off, enjoying the Christmas weekend with my family.
We ate, opened up all our gifts, relaxed, kept busy with the children, played a board game and ate some more!
On Sunday morning we all drove down to a beach-side town called Hervey Bay.  Where we looked and walked around the local botanical gardens, then had an icecream by the beach-side and the kids played on the playground.
I also bought my camera to take some family snaps and some photos of myself.  In these photos I'm wearing my new 50's Santa Rosa tee from a brand called Atomic Swag  http://www.atomicswag.com/  which was ordered through Your One Stop Pinup Shop and was given to me on Christmas day from my sister.
I've been eyeing of these retro tee's for a while now, which I've been seeing on instagram. There are quite a number of different prints. I think they look so cute yet have that retro style to them.
I decided to wear a pair of yellow shorts with this tee for a comfortable/casual look.  I accessorized with a pair of flats from Payless Shoes  http://www.paylessshoes.com.au/   a retro yellow hair-scarf from a vintage market stall and my 50's cat-eye faux glasses from an ebay seller.
The next event/celebration to look forward to is New Years eve, I'm going to a 1920's Gatsby theme party at a local sporting club with a follow pinup friend and vintage blogger,  I'm really looking forward to the evening! I have my outfit planned,  it's just my hair I'm not quite sure what to do with, as 1920's style is quite new to me, but hopefully I'll come up with something!

Anyway hopefully I get some good photos to show you all on my next blog post!

Until next time!

Christmas Roses!

Well just a few days left to it's Christmas day, all my shopping for gifts for my family is now completed! Yay!!  I just have to wrap some presents and do some Christmas baking over the next couple of days.

I received the most gorgeous dress in the post today, which I've been eyeing off for a while now and then finally came the opportunity to pay this beauty off and own her for myself!
This beautiful frock is by an Australian reproduction clothing brand Retrospec'd, although I actually ordered this dress through Ms Katt's Kustom House  http://www.mskattskustomhouse.com/
Retrospec'd is one of my favorite brands to own and wear http://retrospecd.com/

This dress is called Elizabeth English Rose and the material is made out of 100% cotton, the skirt part is pleated like most of Retrospec'd dresses and is very light to wear, so great to wear in the summer!
I adore the pink and red rose print, the length, the bust line and how well this dress is constructed.
I'm so happy I received this dress today as I knew I wanted to wear for Christmas day (after I finish work) and post another Christmas related blog in this dress!
I've accessorized this dress with my faux beads from Collectif , bangles and hair-clips from pre-loved clothing and accessories boutiques, and my red tiki-carved heels from Lucky Lou Shoes.
I have to work on Christmas day until 1:00pm, then I can enjoy the rest of the day with my family. After I get home, I will jump in the shower and slip on this gorgeous frock. Then the family and I will have a lovely hot Christmas dinner and open up all the presents!  Yay!!!

Merry Christmas to you all, I hope you all have a lovely day with your family/friends!

Until next time!

Christmas Party Time!

Only a week and a half until Christmas....wow!! Where really has this year gone?
On the weekend I attended my work's Christmas function and this is the outfit I decided to wear for the occasion!
My velvet poppy print wiggle dress by the vintage reproduction brand Tatyana http://www.tatyana.com/

I purchased this dress of a ebay seller late last year, so I do believe this dress was discontinued of the Tatyana website a while ago.
Also on the weekend my sister and I attended our local community Christmas carols in the park, which was really enjoyable to listen and watch both the carols and the fireworks afterwards. It was also such a wonderful turn out with a lot of families attending the event.
I decided to accessorize this gorgeous dress with a new vintage style black cocktail hat I found at a vintage garage sale, a pair of earrings in a shape of red lips and my Lucky Lou tiki-carved heels.
I hope to blogged about my new Retrospec'd dress hopefully before Christmas next week! As I should have it by the end of the week, fingers crossed.

Sorry these photos aren't the best quality as my good camera is currently get fixed, so I had to use my basic camera for these photos.

Until next time!

Red Roses!

I've been eyeing of this dress since before Christmas last year, but Retrospec'd had run out of my size on this gorgeous dress! Until a few months ago I found this dress on ebay for a really good price, in my size and never worn...score! I snatched it up straight away. This is the Gidet Empire rose dress.
I love the red roses and green leaves print over this dress, the cute and summer style and the light cotton. It's also a very Christmas style dress with the red, green and white.
I love Retrospec'd clothing so much I currently own three dresses, with another gorgeous dress arriving hopefully before Christmas. Here is the link to their website: http://retrospecd.com/
Retrospec'd is an Australian based vintage clothing reproduction website and boutique.
These photos were taken a couple of weeks ago at a local gardens, with a follow pinup friend and vintage blogger.  So many photos turned out really great, so I was quite pleased about this!  I'm looking forward to meeting up again with my friend in the new year to take more blog photos.
I decided to accessorize this dress with a red hair-flower, my faux white beads from Collectif, a pair of red floral earrings and my red tiki-carved heels from Lucky Lou Shoes http://www.luckyloushoes.com/
I'm just about done with my Christmas shopping I've just got a few more gifts to buy for some family members...yay!!
Last night I attended my work Christmas party, we all enjoyed a delicious meal and desserts, had a few drinks, played some Christmas games and took home a secret Santa gift each.
I did end up taking some photos of myself before going out in my outfit, so I'll blogged about this during the week!

Until next time!

Summertime!

Here is part 2 of this gorgeous play-suit/romper I had especially custom made.  I decided to take off the detachable skirt for these photos.
I wanted to take picnic style photos in this awesome outfit, my pinup friend and follow blogger Miss Vera Gin Vintage this is the link to her blog: https://veraginvintage.wordpress.com/ took these photos of me and she also set her camera on timer so she could jump in and take a couple of photos with me - it was such a fun afternoon!
I just adore this vintage style picnic basket, it's so cute, it;s lined with a sunflower fabric print and comes with yellow plastic cups, plates and cutlery.
I hope to wear this play-suit/romper a few times this summer and more summer's to come!
My flamingo sandals that are from Miss L Fire UK and my Daisy Jean Floral hair-flower http://daisyjeanfloraldesigns.com/  goes so well with this outfit!
My friend and I hope to take some more blog photos of each other again, in the near future!

It's currently summer here in Queensland, Australia, which means hot and humid weather. This also means wearing summer dresses/skirts, light fitting tops/blouses and of course shorts.
In this photos I'm actually wearing a pair of shorts over the Bettie swimsuit by Pinup Couture. I've never actually blogged about this swimsuit before, even though I've owned this gorgeous swimsuit for over a year now!
I love the style of this swimsuit with the halter neck straps, the gathered bodice, the skirt bottom (which you can't see in these photos) and of course the cherry print.
The red shorts I'm wearing are by the discontinued brand Bettie Page, that I recently bought of ebay. Unfortunately I think these are a size to small, lucky though they are made of a very stretchy fabric so I'm still able to fit into and wear!
I decided to accessorize with my red retro cat-eye sunglasses, cherry necklace from Sourpuss Clothing and a pair of cherry print Mary-Jane shoes by the brand Hot Chocolate which I purchased from Beserk   http://www.beserk.com.au
This weekend it's my work Christmas party, which I'm planning on attending so I hope to take some photos of myself wearing the outfit for the party for my blog.

Until next time!
