I recently bought this gorgeous wiggle dress from Lindybop a few weeks ago in a big "online sale" they had recently.
This dress is called Vanessa Pink Rainforest wiggle dress, this dress is made out of a medium weight stretch fabric (95% polyester and 5% elastane).
This dress also came with it's own pink matching belt, is fully lined and has a hidden back zipper to get in and out of with ease. I really adore the fabric print so much with all the bright colours, and the tropical plants all over.
Other great features to this dress is the eye catching pink crossover bust panel, the sweetheart neckline and the kick back pleat for easy walking and movement.
This dress is very comfortable to wear and fits so well on me. Unfortunately this dress has now been discontinued. Lindybop though has a lot of other great dresses, skirts, pants, tops and accessories to choose from and all being reasonable priced!
I knew I had to accessorize this dress with my gorgeous new tropical hair-floral piece from Soda Sweethearts Holly the lovely lady who runs and owns Soda Sweethearts has some lovely pieces on sale to choose from, including hair pieces, earrings and brooches. There's even made to order custom straw hats on her Etsy site. All her pieces are very well made and constructed. You can even win a cute hamburger brooch in my blog giveaway which will be available to enter real soon!
Other accessories include:
Peep-toe wedges Williams Australia
Bracelet from a fashion chain store
Purple Pinup Couture wicker purse from a facebook group
Parasol thrifted
I even had a recent professional photo-shoot taken wearing this dress from Lindybop which went perfectly with the Tiki/Hawaiian style shoot!
Here is a photo from that shoot. Photo credit: Phil Kustom Photography
Who's ready to enter my giveaway? Starting this Friday, there will be two prize packs up for grabs, full of cute and awesome pinup/rockabilly prizes, so please keep an eye out for that!
Until next time!

Getting to know Vera Gin Vintage!
I'm starting a new blog segment where every two to four weeks, I'll be asking a certain blogger friend and/or one of my favorite bloggers some exciting questions to get to know them and their blogging style better!
My very first blogger and friend that I love to introduce is Vera Gin Vintage!
I've been following Vera Gin's blog now for around 6 months and I really love and enjoy reading her reviews and posts, on a weekly basis. I've also gotten to know Vera Gin Vintage on a friendship level, as we only live an hour away from each other.
We have even taken photos of each other for both our individual blogs! I love having a friend that dresses similar to myself and my style and has the same taste in vintage inspired fashions.
Question: How did you come up with the name Vera Gin Vintage for your blog?
It was a simple play on words of the name of the great WWII songstress Vera Lynn! I liked the mixing of the historic 40s connotations with the slight cheekiness of alcohol.
Question: Please describe your blogging style?
I blog about vintage and retro fashion and lifestyle from the perspective of a pinup girl living in subtropical Queensland, Australia. I focus on providing reviews of products and brands, style posts, posts about the latest pinup/retro items to catch my eye, running giveaways, and providing behind the scenes looks into things like pinup photo shoots and pinup girl competitions.
Question: What inspired you to start blogging?
I decided to start blogging last year because I felt that I had a unique perspective and because I find so much enjoyment from living the pinup life that I wanted to share it with others!
Question: Describe your fashion sense/style?
I consider myself a full time pinup girl with a focus on 1940s and 1950s retro looks. My favourite reproduction brands include Collectif, Pinup Girl Clothing and Lindy Bop. I also like to mix in vintage elements such as vintage gloves, hats and jewellery. And recently, I’ve started learning to sew my own clothing, with circle skirts and dresses being my favourite things to make.
Question: Do you have any favorite bloggers and if so can you name a few?
I particularly enjoy reading UK bloggers Miss Amy May and Retro Chick, plus New Zealand blogger Miss Victory Violet. To be honest, my favourite bloggers are those who are genuine and down to earth – ones who aren’t always perfect!
Question: What can your readers/followers expect from you and your blog over the next 12 months?
Expect more giveaway competitions of pinup goodies; behind the scenes looks into the pinup competitions I’ll be entering; reviews of newly released products from big companies such as Erstwilder, and little owner-operator Etsy shops; and insights into what it’s like to be a retro girl in a modern world!
I hope you enjoyed my little conversation with Vera Gin Vintage regarding her vintage inspired blog! Here is the link to Vera Gin Vintage blog please go and have a look/read: https://veraginvintage.wordpress.com/

Accessories included:
Pink wedges from Payless Australia.
Pink gumball necklace Your One Stop Pinup Shop

Here is Vera Gin Vintage and myself, after a successful morning taking some great photos for both our blogs!
In other news my first ever blog competition giveaway is coming along nicely, I'm just waiting on a couple of more goodies to add, then I can get the competition part underway! Hopefully by this time next week if all goes well.
Also I'm going to be starting a new segment on my blog titled "Getting to know my follow blogger friends", Vera Gin Vintage will be the first blogger friend we will be getting to know more of. Hopefully I will be able to post this within the next week!
Until next time!

Garden Photoshoot!
Nearly three weeks ago now I had a photo-shoot with Chrome-plated photography. These are some of the images taken from the shoot!
I had to meet the photographer and his girlfriend at their house at 6:30am for hair and makeup. Miss Cherry Bombshell
did my hair and make-up which took way longer then expected (I have very thick hair and sometimes can take quite long to do a particular style). We wanted to start shooting photos by 8:30am but didn't actually start to about 9:30ish or so.
I had actually had another photo-shoot booked in straight after with another awesome photographer, so I was somewhat late for that one...oops!
I actually won this photo-shoot from when I attended the Pinup's by the Sea event, in October last year. I went into the competition draw because I had some free photos taken with Chrome-plated photography at the event.
These photos were taken at Redcliffe Botanical Gardens, Queensland, Australia.
I love these photos so much and how amazing they turned out, I'm still waiting on the high-res ones which I should receive any day now. I also adore my hair and make-up thanks to the gorgeous Miss Cherry Bombshell!
Sweet Surrender Dress is by the brand Tatyana (no longer available from their website).
Shoes and bangle are thrift-ed.
Other accessories were borrowed and belong to Miss Cherry Bombshell.
In other news I'm planning on doing my first ever competition giveaway aimed towards my lovely blog followers and readers! I'm arranging on giving away 2 differen't but similar packages which will include accessories from my favorite Australian pinup/rockabilly boutiques and business.
I'm still waiting on a few more goodies but so far here what will be includes in these packages:
1. Hair-floral piece from Gwynnies Emporium
2. A Happy Glamper Erstwilder brooch from Vintage Pip
3. A Betty Boop Hair-scarf and bow from Cherry Bay Fabulous
4. Red Chevy and vintage caravan brooch from Deer Arrow
5. A hair-flower from Rock N Retro
6. A Burger brooch from Soda Sweethearts
7. Earrings from Colette
8. Two gorgeous hair-floral pieces from Gigis Retro Closet
More information on how to enter shall be reveled hopefully within the next 2 -3 weeks!

Pinup girls at the Beach!
Here is part 1 of the photos that were taken at Bargara, Queensland, Australia over the past weekend with follow pinup/vintage blogger and friend Miss Vera Gin Vintage!
We both decided to take these photos in the morning before it got too hot (which it ended up being a very hot day) and for minimum glare to our photos.
Bargara is such a great location for our photos as we were able to pose in front of numerous scenery locations and backgrounds.
In these photos I'm wearing my new high-waisted denim shorts by the Australian vintage reproduction brand Bonsai Kitten I bought these shorts through Your One Stop Pinup Shop. http://www.yosps.com.au/
These pinup style shorts are made from a stretchy navy denim, have a back zip, are cuffed, have front pockets and have two red anchor buttons on the front. These shorts are perfect for summer here in Queensland, Australia.
My black/red top is thrift-ed so I don't know the brand etc but I thought this top had a rockabilly/pinup look to it.
I accessorized this outfit with my red tiki-carved heels from Lucky-Lou Shoes http://www.luckyloushoes.com/
A thrift-ed vintage wicker bag, red hibiscus hair-flower from an ebay seller.
Retro style sunglasses by Collectif which I bought through Gwynnies https://gwynnies.com.au/
Sea-horse necklace and ocean sea shell brooch and earrings set from Your One Stop Pinup Shop
Parasol from Cherry Bay Fabulous (find on facebook)
Here is a photo of Miss Vera Gin Vintage and I posing very similar on the rocks with our parasols, so very pinup!! By the way have you entered Vera Gin Vintage competition giveaway on her blog yet? This is the link to her blog to enter: https://veraginvintage.wordpress.com/2016/01/25/summer-giveaway-two-weeks-remaining/
There are some great prizes up for grabs!
I'm also working on my first competition giveaway for all you lovely blog followers and readers to enter, I hope to have it up and running by March this year, so please keep an eye out for it. I'll give you all more info in the coming weeks!

My Birthday!
On Saturday I drove down to Brisbane, Queensland (which is a 3 hour drive from where I live) and spent a few days down there. I Caught up with friends, family, had a couple of photo-shoots and I attended a friends baby shower. Whilst I was in Brisbane it was actually my Birthday on the Monday and I got to spend a few hours with a gorgeous follow blogger whom I've been wanting to meet for a while now! A lot of you might know her as Miss Harlow Darling this is the link to her blog: http://www.harlowdarling.com/
We both meet up and had a lovely brunch together, chatted for a while and then went to the Brisbane Botanical gardens and took photos of each other! I had such a wonderful time getting to know Miss Harlow better and taking photos with her, I hope to catch up with her again in the near future.
We both wore dresses from the vintage reproduction brand Retrospec'd http://retrospecd.com/
I wore my Betty Fruit Basket dress by Retrospec'd.
I adore the fruit basket print, the light cotton fabric, the pockets, length and all the colours on this gorgeous dress. This dress also came with a matching belt but I decided to wear another one instead.
I accessorized with a pair of flats from Payless Shoes
Fruit hair-piece was Your One Stop Pinup Shop http://www.yosps.com.au/
Red cat-eye sunglasses from an ebay seller.
Necklace is vintage, bangles are thrift-ed, brooch is by Atomic Mingo
Belt and wicker purse is by Pinup Couture https://www.pinupgirlclothing.com/
I prefer taking blog photos with someone else as it's much more fun, easier and I feel a lot more braver taking photos out in the "public" with someone, other then on my own setting a timer on my camera. This weekend I hope to get some really great photos by the beach with Vera Gin Vintage.
I'm really happy that these photos turned out quite good, as being a little cloudy on the day helped with the photos not having a lot of glare to them.
I'm really looking forward to receiving my photos back from two photo-shoots I had done over the weekend and sharing them with you all in the near future!
Until next time!

Butterflies!
I bought this beautiful dress from a lady through a facebook buy/sell/swap group, for a reasonable price. This dress is by an Australian vintage reproduction brand called Retrospec'd http://retrospecd.com/
This dress is called the Bella Butterfly.
I currently own five dresses from this brand and is now one of my favorite vintage reproduction brands. As well as dresses Retrospec'd also sell skirts, tops, pants, shorts, petticoats, shoes and pyjamas plus some menswear.
I love the print on this dress with the butterflies and floral design on the blue/turquoise 100% cotton twill fabric. This dress has short capped sleeves, a ruffled bust line and a zip up the back to get in and out off.. On the Retrospec'd website the Bella dresses are not suitable for ladies with a larger bust line. So that means this dress is perfect for me!
I accessorize this dress with a pair of white peep-toe flats from Target Australia.
My new to me Pinup Couture purple wicker handbag, which I absolutely love!
Butterfly hair-clips and bangles from a local accessories boutique.
I also wore a petticoat from Lindybop other the dress.
From this weekend I'm on holidays for a week...yay!! I'm planning on catching up with friends, attending a baby shower, having a couple of photo-shoots, meeting up with another vintage blogger friend, celebrating my birthday, my Mum's birthday, my niece/nephew birthdays and taking blog photos with my pinup friend and vintage blogger Miss Vera Gin Vintage. So expect some awesome upcoming blog posts!
Until next time!
