Some of my Favorite Homewares!

For this blog post I want to show you some of my favorite personal home-wares and why they are special to me!

The first one would have to be my zebra heel shaped seats. As soon as I saw these is a local furniture store I just had to purchase them! As they were so unique and retro looking. Buying the two together though was somewhat expensive, so I had to put them on lay-by for a while.
Currently though they're both on my front patio! Only downside is, I don't sit on them near enough!

These are the two awesome chairs
The next favorite of mine is my beautiful table lamp that is made to look like a ladies dress and her legs! I came across this lamp in a local gifts/home-wares store. I knew this lovely lamp would look good in my room, and was also unique, that's why I bought it!

This is the beautiful lamp.
Another favorite of mine are my two pink flamingos. Both are currently on my patio as well. One was given to me as a birthday gift this year from my Mum and the other I bought myself at Kmart, as I knew I had to have at least two together!!

My two pink flamingos.
I also love cute/chic fabric cushion covers, to add on my lounge chair or on my bed. Two of my favorite's would have to be in the photos below, as they both are very chic and retro looking!

This cushion I bought from "The Reject Shop" (a bargain shop)
This one from a home-wares accessories store.
I also love my wall-art prints, especially ones to do with the city of Paris! These bottom three were given to me as Christmas/Birthday gifts over the last few years, and all three are currently hanging up on walls in my rooms.

Three of my favorite wall-art Paris theme prints.
The next are my coffee mugs, especially my Madonna and Paris print mugs. I own four Madonna mugs (three I only keep on display and one I do actually use.) I also own four of these really cool mugs that connect on top of each other to form the Eiffel Tower! These mugs are currently also kept on display.
This is the Madonna mug I use.

This is the cool Eiffel Tower mugs.
My final favorite home-ware's is my coffee, tea and sugar canisters I bought myself from a home-wares store a couple of years ago. I just love the Paris, chic and vintage theme of them, that's why I had to buy these for myself as they were totally me!

These are the gorgeous canisters.
What are your favorite home-wares or do you own anything similar to mine?

Until next time!

My Top 5 Fashion Accessories Wish List!

This blog post is all about the top 5 fashion accessories, that i hope to buy myself in the near future or to be given as Christmas/Birthday gifts! (hint, hint)

Starting my wish list of with:

No. 1     A Pinup Couture wicker purse

I love either the (baguette) lavender or the red (purse) one.

I have been eying of these handbags for a while now, as I love the look and style of them. Also they would go so great with some of my outfits! The main reason I haven't as of yet got around to buying myself one is because of the price!
From the actual Pinup Girl Clothing website: http://www.pinupgirlclothing.com/  they're priced at $78 (US) each, plus shipping costs to Australia, so it does end up being quite costly for a handbag.
I have also seen these bags on some Australian websites as well ranging between $80 - $120.
I probably will wait for a sale on one of the websites to purchase myself one of these gorgeous handbags!

No. 2    A Rockabilly/Pinup Sun Parasol

Rockabilly/pinup sun parasols.

I really would like to invest in my own unique parasol! As I think they're a great addition to any vintage, rockabilly or pinup outfit, they can also help protect you from the sun! I want one to take with me to any rockabilly/50's/vintage festivals I may attend in the near future.
To buy a good quality one they price between $20 - $50.
I've seen these for sale on some websites, etsy and ebay. For example the Sourpuss clothing website sell them. http://www.sourpussclothing.com/gals/accessories/parasols.html

No. 3   Luxulite brooch

Luxulite brooches

I've seen many ladies on instagram wearing these and they look real cute. Especially when they suit the outfit style for example the color and theme. I hope to buy one for myself in the near future, to go with some of my outfits!
These brooches are for purchase on etsy the actual website is: https://www.etsy.com/au/shop/Luxulite
The price range for a brooch is usually between $10 - $40 (US) plus shipping.
The lady (UK seller) that designs, makes and sell these brooches also sells earrings and necklaces.

No. 4    Tiki bamboo bangles

Tiki bamboo bangles - plain and color ones.

These bangles look so cool with Hawaiian/tiki/tropical theme outfits! I would love to accessorize these with some of my tropical theme skirts/dresses.
I've seen these style of bangles to buy both on ebay and etsy. Also to purchase on this website: http://bowandcrossbones.com/products/kitsch-tiki-bamboo-bangle-round-more-colours-more-qtys
The price range is approximately $5 upwards for each bangle.

No.  5

LadyRowe hair-flowers

I've also seen these beautiful hair-flower pieces on instagram and have thought to myself wow these are really gorgeous pieces to accessorize with rockabilly/pinup theme outfits!
The beautiful lady (Australian) who designs, and sell these flowers has her own etsy website where you can buy direct from. The website is: https://www.etsy.com/au/shop/LADYROWE
I've also seen them for sale on a couple of Australian boutique websites for example "Stars and Swallows" and "Gwynnies Emporium".
The price range is usually between $25.00 - $40.00 plus postage.

Do you own any of these top 5 accessories or wish to buy any yourself?

Until next time!

My Custom made skirts - by Betty Le Bonbon!

Early on in the year I had two circle/swing skirts custom made by "Betty Le Bonbon, cheek boutique". Both skirts I really love, so this is my review on this awesome company!

"Betty Le Bonbon" is an Australian (Melbourne) custom made clothing boutique, the company mainly create and sell their own skirts, petticoats and from time to time dresses.

Their motto is "vintage styles for the modern pinup". "Betty Le Bonbon" are mostly known though for their custom made circle/swing and gathered skirts.

The company's website is http://www.bettylebonbon.com/

I came across this design company on instagram and I loved the skirt fabric prints, so then I decided that I would inquire, about getting myself a couple of skirts custom made!

I found their facebook page and looked at all of the fabric prints that were available. Then I sent a personal message to the company to gain all details on how to get myself a couple of these wonderful skirts made!

Below are the prints I choose:
A flamingo and a Paris scene fabric print
"Betty Le Bonbon" offer payment plans, which is a bonus and a help, especially if your on a budget!

All you have to do is put down a deposit payment (usually $30), then once a fornight put down another payment, until you paid the skirt/s off! You have up to 10 weeks to pay for items.
Once payment is complete, then your skirts are ready to be custom made!

Here I'm wearing the Paris print without a petticoat and the flamingo print with a petticoat.
I really love the unique fabric print and the quality of these skirts, you can wear them with or without a petticoat and both look great!

I highly recommend on ordering a skirt through "Betty Le Bonbon, Cheek boutique". For something that is "Australian made" and unique at the same time.

The creator of "Betty Le Bonbon, cheek boutique" is a lovely lady named Jasmine!

This is me personally styling the Paris print skirt.

This is me recently personally styling the flamingo print skirt.

Have you had any clothing items custom made by "Betty Le Bonbon" or any other Australian design company?

Until next time!

I love Erstwilder brooches

My love for Erstwilder brooches began at the start of the year after seeing lots of ladies on instagram wearing them and thinking to myself how cute and unique they are!
This is the official website:
http://erstwilder.com/
But you can buy any of the items from numerous online/actual clothing and accessories boutiques and from ebay. Just "Google" - Erstwilder!

As well as this brand designing and selling layered resin brooches they also sell necklaces, rings and earrings.
The Erstwilder collection is designed in Melbourne. Originally by a lady named Louisa Camille, but due to the high growing demand of this brand - there has recently been an expansion and now there is a design team of three.

All of the items are inspired for women who love rockabilly, vintage and retro fashions and accessories.
Most of these designs are animals/birds/reptiles etc.

February this year I bought my Mum a peacock brooch, as my Mum loves anything to do with peacocks!
I bought the brooch from a rockabilly/pinup fashion boutique called - "your one stop pinup shop" This is their offical website: http://youronestoppinupsho.photium.com/
.

This is the peacock design brooch I bought for my Mum.
Earlier this year I found and bought my very own first Erstwilder brooch, from a vintage/retro fair, that visited the town, where I live. The brooch is a red cat design, I had to buy it, as I love cats and the color red!

This is the cat brooch and me wearing and personally styling this.

The second Erstwilder brooch I found and bought was from ebay, is a sparrow design, I love the colors, and I thought that it is very rockabilly and retro!

This is the sparrow brooch and me wearing and personally styling it.
The most recent Erstwilder brooch I've bought was from the "Woolloongabba Antique Centre" in Brisbane, Queensland. This is their website:http://www.woolloongabbaantiquecentre.com/  This brooch is a very cute poodle design which I also had to buy! As I knew it would go well with some of my Paris print clothing.

This is the poodle brooch and again me wearing and styling it.

The brooch in the photo below in the only other Erstwilder brooch at this stage I have considered on buying is the flamingo design one, again to go with some of my flamingo print clothing!

I would highly recommend on buying yourself one of the Erstwilder accessory design items because of their high quality, and for the designs being so cute and unique!

Do you own anything from the Erstwilder collection?

Until next time!

Thanks for facebook - Mark Zuckerberg!

I joined facebook in 2008, after a cousin of mine told me to join up, she said "I would probably get in touch/contact with long lost friends".

At first I was somewhat skeptical about it, that I, actually would find my friends on their that I lost contact with over the years. (I had moved away from the city I grew up in, to another town a few hours away with my family).

But after joining a past "school" facebook group, well it wasn't long until the friend request's started coming in, mainly from my former school peers. By looking up their "friends list" and so on I soon found all my closest girlfriends I used to go to school with!
I was so excited and happy by this!

After accepting friend requests etc, I got in contact with them all and organized a "catch up". Until this day we still all try to get together from time to time. To celebrate birthdays, weddings, baby showers, Christmas get togethers and we've also been away together for a couple of nights!

This is one of our "ladies only" get together's (friends birthday)
Currently my friends on facebook include family members, school friends/peers,  work friends/collegues, Madonna friends/acquaintances and most recently some instagram friends.

On my personal facebook page I often post up pictures of interest, personal photos, status updates and links, recently including  my own blog link up.
I also follow quite a number of group pages, fashion and celebrity pages as well.

This is one of the first pictures I uploaded onto facebook. (2008)
This is a recent photo I uploaded up at a Madonna dance party! (2014)
I enjoy using facebook to read status updates, look at pictures/photos, and use private chat to "chat with some friends".
I used to play some games on their but I don't anymore, as they just get too addicting and time consuming!
I also change my cover and profile photos regularly as well - just for a change!

This is a recent cover photo of mine.

This is one of my profile photos.

Facebook for me is the only way to "know what my friends get up to on a daily basis and to also stay in the loop"!
Why do you use facebook?

Until next time.

Hearts and Roses London

This is my review on the vintage reproduction clothing brand called "Hearts and Roses London" or
"H & R London".

This brand is based in the UK. "H & R" mainly sell dresses but they also sell coats, petticoats and trousers.

I bought my first "H & R" dress about six months ago from ebay as I liked the look and style of it and it was on sale for a reasonable price, the dress the model is wearing in the picture below is what I bought for myself.

I love this design, the white poker dots on the blue background and also the buttons on the front of this dress.

Most of their dresses have a black tulle around the bottom edging to make it look like a petticoat underneath.
"Hearts and Roses London" do have their own website but it's only for wholesale retail customers not for general everyday customers. But you can find most of their dresses anywhere that sell rockabilly/alternative or pinup/vintage fashions and also from ebay.

This is me personally styling this gorgeous dress, with an actual petticoat underneath.
I bought another dress from this brand about three months ago from a little retail shop called "Poison Kandy Klothing" their based on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. They do have their own facebook page. If you want to look them up!
This is the dress below that the model is wearing.
I love the floral print on this dress, it's so pretty.

I find the two dresses I do own from this brand are very true to size and fit very well for my body shape. For being a budget type of brand, their dresses are very well made, I also like the length of most of their dresses. Even though this brand is not "well known", I still like their clothing.

I really like the floral print on this dress, it's very pretty.

Most of their dresses retail from low to medium prices usually ($40 - $70). Which can be quite affordable, to add to your growing fashion collection or if your just after something a "bit unique" in your wardrobe!

Do you own anything from the brand "Hearts and Roses London?"

Until next time!

My top 10 loves and interests

1. My (immediate) Family  - because they are everything to me, I love my family very much! We are all so close and we all get along (most of the time).

My family - since this photo was taken I have now got a beautiful niece and nephew.

2. My girlfriends - most I've known since High School, and I love catching up with them all, whenever I get the chance.

3. My cats - at present we have 4 of them. Their names are Brandy (16 years), Bo (5 years), Latte (1 year) and Angel (1 year). RIP Kimba and Eli!  Even though each cat can be extremely annoying at times, I still love all my cats, as they really do become part of the family.

Clockwise from the top right Latte, Angel, Brandy and Bo.

 4. Shopping - Either online or going to a shopping centre. I like window shopping but most preferably I rather actually buy clothes, shoes, bags or any other fashion accessories. Looking at and buying new things, makes my feel happy!

5. Madonna - I'm such a big fan, which I have been now for quite some time. I love her music, how she can easily re-invent herself and how she's not afraid to push boundaries - well she is the Queen of pop after all!

 6. Listening and dancing to music and even going to concerts - Some of my favorite music stars/acts are: Pink, Lady Gaga, Kylie Minogue, No Doubt, Garbage, Kelly Clarkson, Robbie Williams, The Eagles and most recently Imelda May. I've also seen most of these acts in concert, I love seeing someone "live in concert". It's quite fun and exciting.

7. Going on a holiday - preferably somewhere I've never been before and either with family or friends. But it does help if you actually have money to go away somewhere!

8. Collecting Paris/Eiffel tower, cherry and flamingo themed items - This includes mugs, plates, prints, clothing, bags, furniture and jewellery. All three are so pretty, chic and cute, which I love.

Cherry necklace, flamingo ornament, Paris fabric print and a Paris suitcase.
 9. Social networking such as Facebook and Instagram - I love looking and reading at what people post on their wall or feed.

10. Fashion/clothing - Most recently rockabilly/pinup and 50's style fashions, as this style is so unique, feminine and beautiful.

I love how beautiful and colorful this type of fashion is.
Have you got similar likes/loves?

Until next time!
