At The Playground!

Hi everyone!

How's you're week been so far? On Friday night my husband and I went out for dinner, which was really lovely to do as it's something we haven't done for quite a while, ever since Covid19 hit, months ago! Over the weekend, I didn't do that much really.  My husband took photos of me for an upcoming blog post and we did our fortnightly grocery shopping!  Apart from that, it's another week at work at work for me at the Aged Care facility I work at.
For this blog post I'm reviewing this amazing dress by U.S. vintage inspired clothing brand Vixen by Micheline Pitt it's called vacation dress in coral pink.  I ended up ordering this dress in April and due to Covid19 postal delays it took around 9 weeks for me to receive this dress, from the USA to where I live in Australia!
There are still some sizes left to choose from on the Vixen by Micheline Pitt website.  I'm wearing a size XL and it fits comfortably on me.  I adore this coral pink colour and the 1960's style of this dress.  I now own two vacation dresses, the other is in a navy colourway, here's the link to that blog post: Vacation Time
I just love that you can accessorize this dress to suit you're own personal style!  Other great features is the deep hidden pockets, that it comes with a matching fabric belt and has a hidden back zip to get in and out of.  This dress has bishop sleeves, that is elasticised at the end of the sleeves.  The neckline is also elasticised, to give you the option of wearing this dress on or off the shoulders.
The material is made from a synthetic gaberdine spandex twill and is designed to be winkle resistant. I would highly recommend on purchasing yourself a Vixen by Micheline Pitt garment, all her pieces are unique and are fun to wear!
Accessories Include:
Carebear Brooch and Scarf by Erstwilder
Bangles and Earrings by Splendette
Pink Handbag by SunJellies
Carebear Tights by Irregular choice
Pink Flats by Bettie Page Footwear and ordered via Nichole Jade Boutique
There photos we're photographed by my wonderful husband at a local playground just around the corner from where we both live! As I'm wearing such a fun inspired dress, with adorable Carebear accessories, I wanted the photoshoot location to match my whole outfit - the playground seamed like the most perfect choice!

Until next time!

Dreaming of Paris!

Hi everyone!

How's you're week been so far?  The last few days have been quite cold in Maryborough, Queensland. Especially in the mornings when you have to get up early for work!  Also it doesn't help that the unit that my husband and I live is like a ice box in the mornings!
This weekend I don't have much planned, my husband and I have to do the boring fortnightly grocery shopping though.
For this blog post I'm reviewing this stunning dress by Australian vintage inspired clothing company Retrospecd  This dress is called Fifi Gay Pari.  I just love the Paris scenery print and the colours on this dress.  Sizes range from 6 up to 20,  with all sizes still available.  I'm wearing a size 16 and it fits very well on me.
A couple of months ago I was able to purchase this dress for a great sale price of 25% of and after selling a couple of dresses that I didn't wear anymore.
I've actually featured and reviewed quite a number of dresses from Retrospec'd I would say they're definitely one of my favourite vintage inspired brands to wear!
Other features to this dress in the adjustable straps and the hidden side pockets.  It also has a back zip to get in and out of and has a double pleated skirt.  I wore a petticoat underneath to give the skirt extra volume and to show the beautiful print of.  The material is made of a cotton twill,  this dress will be great to wear over the warmer spring/summer months.
Accessories Include:
Red Beret from ebay Australia
Brooch by Erstwilder
Bangles and Earrings by Splendette
Red Handbag by Pinup Girl Clothing
Red flats by Bettie Page Footwear and ordered via Nichole Jade Boutique
These photos we're shoot by my wonderful husband at Queens Park in Maryborough, Queensland
Over the years I have taken my own photos for my blog and I've had photoshoots in this park.  It is a lovely park and the only loveliest park there is in Maryborough.
Couples have their wedding ceremony's held here and there is often family day events and concerts held in Queens park

Until next time!

Lucky Green!

Hi everyone!

How's you're week been going?  I went back to work on Tuesday, after having a lovely week of and spending time with my husband.  What are you're plans for this coming weekend?  At this stage I don't have any plans for the weekend, just playing it by ear and see what the weekend brings.
For this blog post I'm reviewing this beautiful dress by UK vintage inspired clothing company Pretty Retro  It's called retro 50's swing dress in emerald.
I actually ordered this dress through Australian clothing company That Shop  I was able to purchase this dress by using Afterpay. Sizing ranges from 8 to 18 and there are still many sizes left to purchase from, through That Shop.  The Pretty Retro website, currently has sizes 8 to 14 left.  I'm wearing a size 16 and it fits comfortably on my body.
If green is not you're colour, there are other colourways to choose from in this exact dress, there is currently a navy, red and a wine colour.
You could easily style this dress either early 1950's or late 1940's.
There is a hidden back zip to get in and out of.  I adore the petal cap sleeves, plus they are not restricting or tight on my bigger size arms. I also love the V-shape neckline and the pleated bustline.  You could easily wear a petticoat underneath the swing skirt for a more 1950's feel, I personally will probably style this dress more to the 1940's look.
The fabric is 78% polyester, 18% viscose and 3% spandex.
Accessories Include:
Green Boater Hat from Morgan and Taylor
Carebear Brooch by Erstwilder
Earrings and Bangles by Splendette
Handbag by Vendula London
These photos for my blog we're shoot by my darling husband at a vineyard and cafĂ© in Childers in Queensland.  The place is called Vintners Secret Vinyard  As well as a vineyard, it's also a restaurant, a gift shop and a wedding venue. It also has some lovely gardens and quirky display's to look at and admire. My husband and I never tried any of the wines or food, hopefully next time we get a chance to visit we will!

Until next time!

Blue Roses!

Hi everyone!

How's you're week been?  Since my last blog post, my husband and I went away for a couple of nights to a lovely retreat at Montville in Queensland for our 1st year wedding anniversary!  We had a lovely time away together, it just went by to quickly!  We came home for a couple of nights and then went up to Bundaberg, Queensland to stay at my Mum's and sister's house for a night.  My husband and I caught up with some of my family for a BBQ dinner and we also got to catch up with a really good friend of ours, whom also lives in Bundaberg.  My week of leave is coming to a end and I return back to work next week.
For this blog post I'm reviewing this stunning dress by UK dressmaker Stephanie, her company is called She's Dynamite
This is my second dress I've ordered and had made by Stephanie and all I can say is both dresses are made to the highest detail and quality!
Note: if ordering yourself a special garment from She's Dynamite, you may have to wait 10-12 weeks for you're gorgeous garment piece to arrive in the post, because Stephanie has a high waitlist and it's only her, designing and creating these stunning dresses.  Also if you're on a budget like myself, most of the garments that Stephanie creates are on the higher price range.  Stephanie kindly allowed me to pay of this dress over a couple of months, this I'm very grateful for.
This dress is called The Alicia Dress and is now sold out on the She's Dynamite website, in all three colourways.  As soon as I saw this dress on the She's Dynamite facebook page, I had to have it!  I just love the gorgeous blue roses fabric print.  There was also a yellow and a pink colourways to choose from as well.  Other wonderful features is the adjustable shoulder straps, the hidden back zip and the hidden side pockets.  I also adore the matching blue bust petals and that this dress is fully lined and has a boned bodice to give more a structured shape.
The skirt is full circle and is 27 inches in length. I'm wearing a petticoat underneath to give the skirt more of a full-circle shape.
The day these photos we're taken it was a bit cold and rainy, that's why I'm wearing this blue cardigan, over the dress. I'm looking forward to wearing this dress again, now it's starting to get a bit warmer here in Queensland, Australia.
The sizing range from 8 to 20 and I ordered a size 20 and this dress fits nicely on me.
Accessories Include:
Hat is by Belbeina Lee
Bangles and earrings by Splendette
Blue cardigan is from Target Australia
Handbag is from Pinup Girl Clothing
Blue Flats are by Bettie Page Footwear and ordered via Atomic Cherry
These photos we're shoot by my loving husband a few weeks ago at the Elizabeth Park Rose Gardens in Maryborough, Queensland.
The weather was cold and rainy this day, lucky it cleared up in the late afternoon, we both we're then able to go to the rose gardens to take photos of me wearing this stunning dress!

Until next time!

Vacation Time!

Hi everyone!

How are you all going?  I've had a busy week at work catching up, before I have next week off.  My husband and I are going away on Monday for our first year wedding anniversary! We are both looking forward to that, it will be lovely to get away for a bit.  This weekend I don't have much plans, probably just have a quiet one and get organized to go away.
For this blog post I'm reviewing this gorgeous dress by U.S vintage inspired clothing brand Vixen by Micheline Pitt it's called vacation dress in navy blue.  There are sizes XS to 4XL to choose and purchase from on the website.  I actually purchased this dress from a facebook buy/swap/sell group for a good price and in great condition.  I'm wearing a size 2XL and it fits quite well and is very comfortable to wear throughout the day. I will say it's a little big around the bust-line though. This dress is actually designed to go travelling with and the material is wrinkle-resistant.
Other great features to this dress is the large hidden pockets, that it comes with a matching fabric belt and has a invisible back zip to get in and out of.  I also love the bishop sleeves, the peasant style neckline and that you have the option of wearing this dress on or off your shoulders.  The material is made from a synthetic gaberdine spandex twill.  This dress you could easily dress-up or down, depending on the occasion! I own a few garments from Vixen by Micheline Pitt and all are made to a high quality standard and are so unique and stylish to wear.
Accessories Include:
Boater Hat from Morgan & Taylor
Bangles and Earrings by Splendette
Brooch by Erstwilder
Handbag from Pinup Girl Clothing
Flats by Bettie Page Footwear ordered via Nicole Jade Boutique
These photos we're shoot by my loving husband down near the Mary River in Maryborough, Queensland.  At times it can be quite hard to find locations to suit my outfit or different locations to shoot my blog photos at!  There are some places/locations that do like to charge for photoshoots.  I do try and avoid this as my fashion blogging is a hobby and I don't make any money from it!
Anyway I always give a shout out to where my blog photos are taken at!
In the few years I've been blogging I believe there was a couple of historical museum's I ended up paying a small fee to get into and take my blog photos there.
Also a location/business that is usually used for weddings, I payed a small amount to take my own photos there.  Most of the time my blog photos are taken outside in public free areas, such as parks and gardens.

Until next time!

Winter Flowers!

Hi everyone!

How are you going?  I've got this week at work, then I'm taking some annual leave and having a week off. My husband and I are going away for a couple of nights for our one year wedding anniversary!  We had planned to go down to Mount Tambourine in Queensland ( a four hour drive away) but have now decided to go away a bit closer to Maleny in Queensland (a two hour drive away).  The reason why we changed our plans is mainly because of covid-19, as there has been a outbreak of Coronavirus recently especially in Victoria, Australia.  The state that I live in which is Queensland, there have only been a few cases. Fingers crossed it's stays this way but you can never be to sure.  My husband and I both decided we want to be on the safe side, and not travel as far away from home, for our anniversary getaway!
For this blog post I'm reviewing this beautiful dress by Sweden vintage inspired clothing company Miss Candyfloss  This dress is called Finella-Lee floral swing dress, this dress is now sold out on the Miss Candyfloss website. There are other colour ways still available to purchase for example there is a stone/red and a petrol/teal colours.  I actually waited up to ten weeks for this dress to arrive in the post (because of covid-19 and not many international flights at the moment).  I was very happy when this dress finally arrived and it fitted perfectly on me!
I'm wearing a size XL and I love the fit and style of this dress...I'm looking forward to wearing it over spring and summer! Actually you could wear this dress all year around, in the cooler months just add a cardigan or a jacket.
This dress is made from 97% cotton and 3% Elastin.  It has a zipper at the back and pockets...yay!!
Other features include the swing skirt has box pleats (wear with or without a petticoat) and it comes with it's own fabric detachable green belt. Note: I'm not wearing a petticoat for these photos.
I adore the diamond shaped neckline, the short sleeves and the pleated bust.  I also love the floral print on the navy blue background.  Miss Candyfloss is one of my favourite brands to wear, there garments are so comfortable, yet stylish and unique to wear!
Accessories Include:
Green Boater Hat from Morgan and Taylor
Bangles and Earrings by Splendette
Brooch by Erstwilder
Handbag by Vendula London
These photos we're shoot by my amazing husband at Yengarie Gallery & Gardens  I'm ever looking for different locations for my outfit and blog photos and I'm so grateful, that I've been allowed to take my outfit and blog photos at Yengarie Gallery & Gardens.  There is actually a Maryborough Open Gardens day coming up on the 29th of August, the general public are able to view some amazing private gardens and it's for free. The lovely couple that own and take care of Yengarie Gallery & Gardens will be allowing the general public to view their gardens on the 29th August 2020.

Until next time!

Floral Spray!

Hi everyone!

How are you all going?  If you have been reading and following my last two blog posts, well I finally was able to return back to work today.  After taking extra time off from work then what was expected, from having a slight cold/chest affection, over a week ago!  I'm only back at work for a couple of weeks, then I'll be having a week off in August for my first year wedding Anniversary! My husband and I are planning on going away for a few nights, to celebrate.
For this blog post I'm reviewing this stunning 1940's inspired dress by UK vintage inspired clothing brand Vivien of Holloway
It's called 1940's Gloria Floral Spray in Pink.  I was able to purchase this dress towards the end of last year, after selling a few dresses I didn't wear anymore.  I'm wearing a size 22, it's a little bit roomy around the bust area, and fits well around the waist. Note: Vivien of Holloway sizes are not standard fashion sizing.  Please just follow the size guide for each garment to get the right fit for you.
Also this exact dress is just about sold out on the Vivien of Holloway website, there are some other sizes in a couple of other prints of this dress on the site, to purchase.  If you're on a budget, this dress is somewhat expensive! I must say for the price, this dress is made in the UK and is wonderfully constructed in a stunning floral fabric. It's also very limited edition, not many of these dresses we're made.
The fabric is made of a lovely moonlight satin and has a side zip to get in and out of. The shoulders have sewn in shoulder pads, if you're not a fan of shoulder pads you could easily remove them by unpicking the stitching.  Other features include a sweetheart neckline and a waterfall sarong that drapes down from one side of the hip.  I added my own belt to add more definition and shape to the dress. The sleeves fit my upper arms perfectly and I love the longer length, the skirt is 31 inches.
I wore a light cardigan with this dress because it was somewhat cool when these photos we're taken.
Vivien of Holloway is one of my favourite vintage inspired clothing brands,  I love how authentic their garments are to the 1940's and 1950's and I adore all their different dress styles.  I highly recommend on purchasing from this wonderful company!
Accessories Include:
Hair-flower from Louella Deville
Bangles and Earrings by Splendette
Brooch by Erstwilder
Handbag by Bettie Page
These photos we're shoot by my loving husband outside and around the townhall in Maryborough, Queensland.  I'm very appreciative and ever grateful that my husband takes my outfit photos, as this makes it much easier on me.  As before I meet my husband Graham, most of the time I usually had to take my own photos, using a tripod and putting my camera on self-timer.  This was often very time consuming and quite difficult to get the right angle shot for my outfit blog photos.
Plus I usually had to find a location with hardly no one around, as I felt insecure with taking my own photos.  I don't feel this way as much when someone else is taking photos of me!

Until next time!
