Graham and myself are actually getting married next weekend - the 10th August. Then we will be going on our honeymoon, we're both going on a road/camping trip for a few weeks. I won't be blogging now for a least 5-6 weeks! I plan to take blog photos whilst I'm away, to share with you on my blog!
Until next time!

This company sells dresses, petticoats and girls dresses for more affordable prices.
All garments are made in London to the highest quality. Sizes range from 8 up to 22.

Some great features to this dress is the draping on the side, the wrap around style and the V-neckline. It has a back zipper to get in and out of. I also love the length of this dress, the capped sleeves and the floral print.
This dress is such a flattering style to wear.

This dress is made of 95% polyester and 5% elastine, and again very comfortable to wear throughout the day. I'm wearing a size 16 and it fits so well on.
This dress features pleat details at the shoulders and on the skirt. It has short capped sleeves, a crossover neckline and a fitted bodice. This dress actually doesn't have any zips, you just pull-over your head and away you go!

The second dress I'm reviewing is called Check Cactus Shoulder Dress. This dress is nearly sold out on the Love Ur Look website, with only one small size still remaining. It's made out of 100% cotton, it's great to wear on a hot-summer day, because of the light, flowley material.
I love the black and white gingham print and the embroidered cactus around the top of the dress. Other great features is the elasticated waist and the off shoulder design. British Retro!
Hi all!
For this blog post, I'm featuring these two gorgeous dresses by UK vintage inspired company British Retro
This company sells dresses, skirts, shorts, petticoats, t-shirts, coats and accessories. All of their garments are made in London, UK.
The first dress I'm reviewing is the Dee Dee Royal Stewart Tartan Vintage 50's Full Circle Dress.
It's made out of a 67% polyester, 29% viscose and 4% elastane. So it does have some stretch to it. Sizes range from 8 to 18, I'm wearing a size 16 and it fits perfectly on me and is very comfortable to wear throughout the day.
I just love the tartan print and that it comes with a matching tartan belt, it can be worn without a belt as there are actually no loops on this dress. I personally prefer to wear a belt with dresses, as it clenches in the waist and gives the dress more shape and structure.
Other great features is the of the shoulder, angled short sleeves and the Bardot-style neckline. There is a concealed zip down the back to get in and out of. The bodice is satin lined inside and I love the full-ness of the skirt, this is great to wear a fluffy petticoat underneath.
I decided to purchase this dress, as I have never actually owned a tartan vintage inspired dress and I just adored the look and style of this one!
Accessories Include:
Hat is thrifted
Earrings by Revere folie
Necklace is by Collectif
Brooch by Louella Deville
Bangles by Splendette
Heels by Bait Footwear
The second dress I'm reviewing by British Retro is this stunning wiggle dress, it is called Rhonda's Revenge Fern Satin Jacquard Pencil Dress.
It's made from 51% cotton, 46% polyester, 3% spandex. Sizes range from 8 to 18, there is only a couple of sizes left though as this dress is currently on sale for a really great price. I'm wearing a size 16 and it fits like a glove on me.

I only own a handful of wiggle/pencil style dress due to the fact they do show off all your curves, bumps and lumps, more so then swing dresses do. Saying that I just love how elegant and sexy you can feel and look in wearing a wiggle dress! That's why I decided to purchase this wiggle dress and I also adore the Fern green colour and the same colour floral print. I didn't want to wear all green though for this photoshoot, that's why I decided to accessorize with pink, as pink and green do work well together!
Other great features of this dress is the vent at the back of the skirt to allow for easier walking and the Bardot style neckline and angled short sleeves, the same as in the above tartan dress by British Retro.
It also has a concealed zip at the back and the bodice is satin lined. I highly recommend on ordering yourself something beautiful, from British Retro!
Accessories Include:
Dusty Pink Hat is from Unique Vintage
Bangles and Earrings by Splendette
Hair-flower by Gigis Retro Closet (currently changing business name)
Brooch by Erstwilder
Seamed stockings by What Katie Did
Heels from Bait Footwear
These photos of myself in the tartan dress was taken at a local primary school in Maryborough, Queensland. The second photos of myself in the green wiggle dress we're taken at a friends home with their beautiful 1947 Buik vintage car. I'm ever so thankful they allowed me to take photos with their car and at their beautiful Queenslander home for my blog!
Photos we're shoot by my supportive husband-to-be. :)

Gigi's Fairy Fashion!
Hi all!
For this week's blog post I'm featuring these two beautiful dress by an Australian vintage inspired clothing company Gigi's Fairy Fashion
These are actually my first two dresses that I've owned by this company, I've been eyeing of their dresses for a couple of years and finally got around to purchasing a couple for myself!
This company is based in Sydney, Australia and are a family run business. The company started out in 1996 and offer gorgeous vintage style, rockabilly, race wear and wedding dresses/outfits and accessories. They only use high quality fabrics in their creations!
The first gorgeous dress I'm reviewing, is called Charlotte Pink Maddison Cut. The fabric is a cotton sateen. There are only a couple of sizes left in this exact dress and it's currently on sale for a really great price. I'm wearing a size 14/16 and it fits well on me, it may be a little tight in the waist area but still wearable throughout the day.
Note: each style of dress has different measurements, so you really need to follow the size chart on the Gigi's Fairy Fashion website. Always feel free to message the company to find out the right size for you, if you're not 100% sure.
I just love the floral print on the light pink background and the pleated skirt. It also has capped sleeves and pleats across the bust-line, plus hidden pockets!
My favorite feature is the stunning cut-out back. You can wear this dress without a bra or with a backless bra. I personally wore a backless bra with this dress.
Accessories Include
Hat from a local boutique
Sunglasses by Voodoo Vixen
Bangles from Louella Deville Boutique
Sandals from Bait Footwear
Ladies vintage style bike by Malvern Star
The second dress by Gigi's Fairy Fashion is called Black Reagan Pleated Sun Dress. There is still a couple of sizes left in this dress, and it's also on sale for a really great price.
I'm wearing a size 12/14 and it fits perfectly on me. The fabric is a stretch cotton sateen and is finished with a shine coating. I just love this floral print with the pinks and purples on the black background.
This dress has a heart-shaped neckline with shoulder straps (I wish the straps we're adjustable), so they don't have that feeling they could slip of my shoulders. It also has a hidden back-zip to get in and out of and a pleated swing skirt.
It's a wonderful dress to wear in the summer months or with a cardigan if the weather is a little cooler.
Hopefully when the weather gets warmer here again in Queensland I can have more of an opportunity to wear these two beautiful dresses!
Accessories Include:
Hair-flower by Daisy Jean Floral
Earrings an bangles by Splendette
Sunglasses by Voodoo Vixen
Necklace from Susan Jane Jewellery
Sandals from Big W
These photos we're taken by my loving partner at our own home in Maryborough, Queensland and at the Hervey Bay Botanical gardens.

Jack's Daughter!
Hi all!
For this week's blog post, I'm reviewing these two gorgeous outfits by an Australian etsy company called Jack's Daughter
Jenni Porter the lovely owner and dressmaker of Jack's Daughter specializes in "one off" vintage inspired garments. I have purchased and have had a few different vintage styles outfits made by Jenni, over the last few years. Jenni creates her vintage inspired clothing from, original vintage patterns or she can draft patterns from actual vintage garments or from photos.
Some of her garments she currently has for sale on her etsy page, includes dresses, skirts, blouses, pants, shorts and play-suits.
Please feel free to give Jenni a message if you're after a special "one off" vintage inspired outfit for yourself! I can highly recommend you do so.
The first dress I'm reviewing is this gorgeous 1930's inspired day dress. I have actually featured this dress before on my blog here's the link to that: 1930's Day Dress
if you want to have a look/read and how I've styled this dress previously.
For this dress I was able to choose this gorgeous floral print and have any "special" features I wanted.
I just love how it is made specially to my measurements, so it fits really well on me.
My favorite features of this dress is the pleated kick in the front, that it comes with a matching belt, with a buckle and has short-cuffed sleeves and I love the buttons diagonally across the front. There is actually two matching fabric ties, that you can tie in a bow at the front. For these photos I decided to tuck them into the front neckline of this dress to show the white buttons across the front and the neck-line.
Accessories Include:
Hairflower by Shazam Pinup Hair Flowers
Sunglasses by Voodoo Vixen
Earrings and Bangles by Splendette
Brooch by Erstwilder
Handbag by Pinup girl clothing
Sandals from Rocket Originals
The second outfit by Jack's Daughter is this 1950's inspired patio skirt and blouse set. I messaged Jenni last year if she would be able to create and make this for me. I sent through a couple of pictures of what I had in mind. After deciding on the pink colour I wanted, this is the end result!
I just love the pink fabric and the white and black ric-rac together. It's made out of a cotton material, so has no stretch to it. I gave my measurements to Jenni and this outfit fits well on me.
This is such a fun outfit to wear, I just love the full circle skirt and the separate blouse. I also love the black and white ric-rac, that goes around the skirt twice and on the blouse and the collar. The skirt has a hidden back zip and button to secure and the blouse has a side hidden zipper to get in and out of.
I wore a petticoat underneath to give the skirt more swing and full-ness.
I also added my own belt to give the skirt and blouse, more flare and structure to it!
Accessories Include:
Hat is by Who's that girl (currently unavailable)
Earrings by Revere Folie
Bangles by Louella Deville
Brooch by Erstwilder
Belt from Kmart Australia
Boots from an ebay seller
These photos were taken by my husband-to-be at a park in Maryborough, Queensland and at a friends property, whom live locally.
