Retrospec'd!

Hi all!

I've decided to get back into my blogging, after taking a long break!  A lot of major changes have happened in my life, over the last year or so. For starters, I'm in the middle of planning my own wedding!  I'm getting married in August to my best friend and the love of my life!  My future husband, has really changed my life so much and he has made me so very happy!
I'm going to be changing how I've done my blogging in the past.
By reviewing two dresses/outfits by the same vintage inspired company, each week.
This week is an Australian vintage inspired company called Retrospec'd
I have been an admirer of Retrospec'd for a number of years now. I have purchased a few beautiful dresses by this company.  I just love their gorgeous fabric prints and the many different dress styles.  All of Retrospec'd garments are made in Australia to a very high standard.
The first dress, I'm reviewing is called the Norma Jean in the Venetian Rose Print. This gorgeous dress in now "sold out" on the Retrospec'd website.
I actually purchased this dress from a facebook buy/sell/swap site for a very good price.
The material is made out of a cotton, stretch sateen.  It has a zip down the back, hidden pockets and a gathered bust line and skirt. I'm wearing a size 16, this dress fits just about perfect on me.  Except for the straps on my shoulders, as they sometimes slip down and I have to re-adjust the straps.  To fix this little problem I have to wear a very good padded bra.
On this day these photos were taken, I didn't wear a petticoat underneath my dress (as it was to hot) although this dress certainly allows enough room to wear a full-swing petticoat.
Accessories include:
Hair-flower by Daisy Jean Floral Designs
Bangles by Louella Deville Boutique
Brooch by Erstwilder (brooch no longer available)
Handbag by Sunjellies
Sandals from BigW
The second Retrospec'd dress is the Vivian in Calypso print. I ended up purchasing this dress on their website, as it was on "sale", for a bargain price. I really do love the print!
The fabric is made of a 100% cotton twill.  This dress also has a zip down the back and a cross over V neck and back. It has a pleated skirt, that gathers on the shoulders and under the bust line.
I'm wearing a size 14 and it fits me perfectly, in the bust and the waist.
There are a couple of small sizes left in this dress on the Retrospec'd website and for the reduce "sale" price.
Note:  When purchasing a Retrospec'd dress, checked the measurements for each dress style on the website, as many have different measurements and sizing.
Accessories Include:
Hair-flower by Gigis Retro Closet
Brooch by Erstwilder (brooch no longer available)
Bangles by Splendette
Handbag by Pinup Girl Clothing (handbag no longer available)
Shoes by Bait Footwear
All these photos were taken by my loving husband to be. I'm very happy and appreciative, that he loves to take photos of me in my beautiful vintage inspired dresses and outfits!
Next week, I'm going to review two dresses by an etsy company called Hearts and Found.

Until next time!
